Elīna and Māris say: "After five years of engagement and trying to understand what kind of wedding we want, we came to the idea that we would rather buy a summer house and go to Thailand with the big wedding budget! Since we are staying in Germany and the idea of Thailand was a spontaneous decision, we didn't have much time. We couldn't complete all the formalities for the wedding in Thailand, so we decided to do it ourselves your ceremony on the beach .

We also couldn't order the desired rings , we found ones that we can present to each other at that moment. I found the dress quite quickly, I had already found it before. I really liked the idea of a dress that is not white, and I also wanted something effective for beautiful pictures.

Then the whole big dress, which took up half a suitcase, went with us to Thailand.

All this happened in February of this year, right at the beginning of Covid . We sat at home for a long time and thought - to go to Thailand or not, because the flight was through China. But then, of course, as young and fearless, we took a risk and flew away... We are very pleased with that!

Then it was time to think about how we want to do everything officially . It all happened very quickly, too. The department of birth records that I found attractive was in Saulkrasti, because there is a sea and a positive atmosphere. But! Since we came to Latvia in the middle of June, it did not seem hopeful to get 07.07.2020. a date that the husband really wanted. But we succeeded! Saulkrasti registry office was very responsive and accommodating. The date is!

Next we provide rings! We knew we wanted to order them. We made it at Arvja Kotina. I realized that I wanted to spend the next part of the day by the sea already when we knew that we were going to get married by the sea. We were looking for Airbnb . The expectations were low, because the time was one week to find, but unbelievably - on the desired dates we got a house called Bučas Saulkrasti by the sea itself, where you can see the sea, sunrise, sunset from the terrace. The host was kind enough to give us a cabin ahead of time so we could get ready before going to the ceremony site.

We ordered a festive meal at Ogres Pūres restaurant , which we were not disappointed with! Everything was very tasty and beautifully presented, we also ordered the cake there. I also found the idea of the bridal bouquet very quickly . I knew I wanted gypsum in it, which looked great together with lavender. The bouquet was light and will remain on my summer house shelf for a long time. But that's not the end of it, we also wanted to make a proper party for the whole big family in our summer house, but unfortunately Covid restrictions are starting.
