Our wedding celebration took place on August 1 of this year.

The wedding day began Raini's estate , Jurmala. Both of us spent the night before the big day at Raini's homestead and also got ready for the important event. Capturing the moments of our day also began with a bang.

We had decided to see each other before the ceremony, as well as to carry out the "big" wedding photo session before it, in order to reduce anxiety and open up a bit to both the photographer and each other. Of course, we were accompanied by our guides, who supported us with some advice as well as practically.

We chose the Jūrmala side for the photo session, where we took photos both on the seashore and also by the lake in a small forest.

The wedding ceremony and party took place in one place - Abeldarză Burtnieki , Pinkis. we accepted this choice because we had originally planned to go on a wedding trip after the ceremony. However, due to Covid , our plans changed, so we extended the celebration.

On the other hand, we chose Abeldarza because we wanted to be closer to nature. Both the ceremony and the celebration took place in the garden. Since there are two tents on the site, there was also a backup option in case of rain. We were lucky, because the weather spoiled us. So that we and the presenters don't have to worry about entertaining the guests, we agreed that we will entrust it to the hosts of the evening, Rihardas Sniegas and Oto Madarnieks. We also wanted to please both ourselves and the guests with live music. Ivo Grīsniņš - Grīslis and the group took care of it. DJ Dzintars Neimanis took care of the evening party.

As much as my husband and I love a free and relaxed atmosphere, we wanted to reflect that in our family celebration.

That's why we decided not to seat the guests at the tables. The creative team of Abeldarza Burtnieki , who also took care of the beautiful decorations, had made sure that the guests had a place to sit. There were boho-style sofas throughout the area, which, of course, had tables where both food and drinks could be placed. On the other hand, we chose a Swedish table for dining - My banquet took care of both snacks, hot food, and also the cold table in the evening, which was like a surprise and an additional energy charge for the guests. There was also a bar and a bartender - guests could either mix their own cocktail, or choose the bride's or groom's drinks.

On the other hand, in order to capture the magical mood of the evening, we also implemented a quick evening photo session.

Also, in order to create additional tangible memories for ourselves and the guests, as well as to entertain the guests, we rented a photo box and created a photo booth. In it, the guests could capture moments for themselves, and also fill in the guest book by pasting a picture there and answering a couple of questions we prepared in the guest book.

Our wedding concept didn't include many traditions, but we couldn't do without the bouquet and the garter throwing after the mingling s at midnight, which the ushers had arranged for us. On the other hand, we treated the guests with a cake not after the ceremony, but shortly before - around 23.00
