Like many couples who had planned their wedding in the spring of 2020, we also had to postpone the date of the planned wedding day. We changed not only the date, but also the church, the venue, the day plan and the whole honeymoon plan. Admittedly, all the changes - last-minute reservation changes, canceled services, restrictions - were a thorough stress test for both of us. We moved the wedding to September, with great hope that Covid would subside.

Yes, the “second wave” had not yet started in September, there were fewer restrictions, and we succeeded! Both family and friends from abroad managed to come. We are both so grateful that we had to reschedule our entire wedding day because everything that changed was for the better!

Due to all the changes, we came from the views of the wrong church to a fantastic priest and the parish closest to our hearts and the most cozy church. From a guest house that was quite far away, moreover, with very unresponsive owners, we ended up at a nearby guest house with charming rooms, responsive staff and excellent service. From a perfectly planned honeymoon trip to Bali, where we would enjoy the tropics, beautiful villas, Asian charm, we ended up with perhaps the most emotional and adventurous car trip through Europe for two weeks, visiting 13 countries! And many more small details that changed our whole wedding day to a completely different side - and only for the better.

If initially we paid attention to such details as - the date and its importance in our lives, the design of the invitations, the photo session on the wedding day in a thoughtful place with decorations, the morning of the bride's preparation should be planned in the luxurious hotel premises - then, when all the changes, restrictions, canceled and changed plans began, we realized that we need to think less and stress about things that, despite our efforts, simply fails to organize and plan. As a result, these things only burden us, and perhaps these things are created standards - how and what should be, and we ourselves do not want to include it in our day.

We began to rely on the fact that things might not go the way we planned. We created the day so that we can enjoy it - so that there are no things and events that can go wrong, so that we can enjoy this day!
