About Herbarium

My name is Maija and I am the creator of the Herbarium.

It all started on my wedding day, when I really wanted to keep my bridal bouquet as a memory. It was my first experience with flower pressing and frame making - imperfect but extremely exciting. It was this process that inspired me to keep learning, experimenting and creating.

Today Herbārijs is more than flowers. These are people, emotions and moments that you want to preserve.

What is the process of preserving the bridal bouquet?

• Reserve your date

  Book your wedding date with me. Let me know when and where you plan to celebrate your wedding day. It's great if you already know what flowers are going to be in your bridal bouquet. When making the reservation, we agree on the most convenient way to deliver the bouquet, and I also provide instructions to keep the bouquet in the best possible condition after the wedding. Booking is very important, as I only accept a limited number of orders per week, so I recommend applying early.

• Pressing and drying flowers

  When your bridal bouquet arrives at me (depending on the flowers, preferably within 1-3 days after the wedding day), a painstaking and slow process begins - the flowers are pressed in a traditional press for at least four weeks. This process requires patience and time.

• Creating a design and returning the finished flower frame

  Once the flowers are pressed and dry, I create a design layout and send it to you for coordination. If necessary, we make changes - until you are truly satisfied with the final result. Once the design is approved, the work is finished and framed and carefully prepared to go to its new home.

You should expect at least 2-3 months from the wedding day to receiving a ready-made flower frame.

FAQs

How soon should I apply for a reservation?

It is recommended to apply 1-3 months before the wedding, as the number of available places during the season is limited. If the wedding has already taken place - write, I may be able to help you further.

How soon after the wedding should the bouquet be delivered?

Ideally – within 24 to 72 hours after the wedding. The faster the bouquet is delivered, the more beautiful the result will be.

Can the bouquet be sent by parcel/courier?

Yes! I also accept bouquets remotely - throughout Latvia, as well as international delivery is possible. After booking, I will send instructions for safe packing.

How much does it cost to keep the bride's bouquet?

The price depends on the size of the frame and the choice of glass (ordinary / museum glass).

S- 30x42cm: 149€/199€

M- 40x50cm: 249€/299€

L- 42x59cm: €349/€399

When is the payment made?

Payment is only made when your bouquet is framed and ready to go to its new home.

How long does production take?

From receiving the flowers to returning the finished flower frame, you should expect 2-3 months .
