About me

My name is Jolanta Kalniņa. I am a musician, professional singer, music teacher, performer and songwriter.

With my performance, I conjure up a warm, sincere and soulful festive atmosphere, which uplifts and pleases.

I received my musical education at the Jāzeps Vītolas Latvian Academy of Music and before that at the Riga Cathedral Choir School. My main job is at the Latvian National Opera and Ballet, where I am a choir vocalist. I have extensive stage experience - I perform regularly, visit different cities of Latvia, delighting the audience by singing both solo and in ensembles, and performing together with various musicians. In parallel, I am building my solo career in the genre of non-academic music. I am currently working on my debut album, which will feature only my original works. Since the fall of 2025, I have already released three singles that can be heard on all major music streaming platforms. My passion is music pedagogy and also Latvian folklore. I also organize folk song singing, parties, song meditations.

My performance fits very well both in churches, large acoustic halls and small celebration rooms. The performance can also take place in nature and outdoors, where I provide quality sounding.

I sing different styles of music (classical, opera, jazz, pop). The repertoire and songs are selected very carefully and individually, according to your wishes.

I sing using high-quality phonograms or collaborating with a pianist, organist or guitarist, creating an absolutely alive and unique sound.
