Mežotne Palace

Mežotne Castle is located on the banks of the Lielupe River, about 70 km from Riga and 10 km from Bauska.

Mežotne Castle – an elegant example of classicism architecture. It was built in the 18th/19th century. century alternately under the direction of architect Johann Georg Adam Berlitz according to the project of architect Giacomo Quarengi. Castle Park is one of the best designed landscape parks in Latvia.

Since June 2025, Mežotne Castle has been open to visitors again.

Mežotne Palace offer:

  • Marriage ceremony in the Dome Hall, Green Hall or Palace Park;
  • The first waltz in one of the luxurious halls of the palace;
