Color of the year 2019 – coral
Let's start with this year's color. The Pantone Color Institute , like every year, has highlighted one specific color this year as well, and the color of 2019 has been declared to be pinkish-orange coral ("Living coral"). It really is an excellent color for sunny summer weddings, so it is pretty much guaranteed that we will see coral-colored bridal bouquets, decorations, bridesmaids' dresses and other details at weddings this year both in Latvia and in other parts of the world.
Bright and intense color tones will also be relevant
Speaking about colors, decorator Dagnija Gaile / Love Letters points out that in 2019, bright colors will also be relevant for wedding decorations, but it is important to combine them with the basis of a natural mood. For example, when choosing the ultra-violet shade that is still relevant for your wedding (which, although it was the color of 2018, as recognized by industry experts around the world, will not lose its popularity in 2019), it is recommended to mix it together with light earth tones.
"I think that the purple shade will bloom in its brightness in Latvia next summer as well, but the gray will be replaced by muted beige shades. The couple can also dare to choose a bright color as the main shade, but use natural, even vintage-style elements for all candlesticks, tables, furniture and other decorations," advises Dagnija.
The intense emerald green tone will also stand out in the wedding color palette this year. "Emerald green will definitely be a relevant wedding color in 2019.
In a luxurious, even classic combination, the emerald green shade together with Burgundy red, gold and Italian-style free floral solutions, wooden tables and chairs.

Long tables will also help to realize this mood. In the 2019 wedding season, long tables will trump round tables.
"Long tables are coming back into fashion, but on the condition that they are wooden, heavy, not pub-style. They should be such that they already serve as a large, beautiful object of decoration in themselves and do not require full-covering tablecloths.
Long tables do not necessarily mean that all guests should be seated at only one table. It can be several groups of tables, which are respectively placed perpendicular to each other and do not form any specific pattern," said Dagnija Gaile, noting that wood will be one of the most commonly used materials in next year's season.
In the fashion of wedding dresses - simplicity and classics
Simple and classic dress silhouettes will again be in fashion in 2019 in bridal dress fashion. Perhaps it was inspired by the most popular bride in the world in 2018 – Meghan Markle and her classically simple wedding dress without unnecessary details.

On the other hand, for grooms, three-piece suits will become relevant again, which can be easily transformed, for example, when the evening dances begin, by taking off the jacket and remaining in a shirt and vest.

Social media and especially Instagram will continue to influence wedding trends as well, as undoubtedly every couple (and wedding guests) want the most perfect wedding photo.
If hashtags or hashtags have already become commonplace, then this year more and more couples will devote themselves to the search for the perfect confetti, and in 2019 – the more colorful they are, the better.
A meal as a gastronomic adventure
It is predicted that in the wedding season of 2019, the field of wedding catering will also transform even more, that is, more and more couples will choose the so-called DIY or cook-it-yourself food stations, which will serve the guests both as entertainment (mixing their own dishes) and as a festive dinner. On the other hand, if the couple wants to stick to the traditional scenario and serve dinner in several courses, then most likely next year there will be more and more couples who will decide to increase the number of courses, but reduce the portion sizes, so that the guests have the opportunity to experience a gastronomic adventure.

Illustrations will become relevant in wedding invitations this year all over the world. Since in today's electronic age, wedding invitations are almost the only thing that people still receive personally through the mail, couples invest both time and money to make them, which is why hand-made illustrations are becoming more and more popular.
Not only invitations will become personalized, but also various elements of wedding decorations, such as tableware sets. In 2019, more and more often, the table setting will be subordinate to the wedding theme.
