The role of presenters has changed over the years, so the question remains more and more relevant for couples - what responsibilities should be entrusted to them?

So that the word carriers does not become a swear word

If in the past, presenters most often did everything - from organizing a wedding to conducting the evening part, now the role of presenters has transformed. Each couple chooses what to entrust to the conductors - only the function of witnesses or the organization of the wedding from A to Z.

Since the young couple does not want the name ushers to become a curse word and not carry a negative connotation, more and more often, when inviting friends to be ushers, they agree on what is expected of them - the function of witnesses, the organization of pre-wedding parties, taking care of a surprise right after the ceremony or during the evening.

Of course, if the presenters are attractive enough, they can also be asked to host the evening's celebrations. But if the young couple is sure that the chosen ushers will not get tired of the burden of many responsibilities, then of course they can be asked to get involved in all wedding organization processes, starting with finding the wedding venue and ending with the function of wedding day coordinators.

First the new couple, then the carriers

The presenters should know not only the things that the couple likes, but also the things that they definitely would not want on their wedding day.

All the information obtained will become the basis for the pre-wedding to-do list and will help create the scenario of the wedding day. Getting to know the couple and their preferences is one of the most important things in the wedding planning process. It must be remembered that it is first of all their day, and only then - the realization of the personal wishes of the presenters.

If the ushers like and enjoy various Latvian wedding traditions, but the new wife might think putting the aube on her head is unnecessary, then in the end you will not have fulfilled your task. That is why it is important that the ushers are close to the new couple and know the newlyweds well enough. Even if only the ceremony is planned on the wedding day, it is important that the people who stand next to the new couple are not just out of duty, but bearers/witnesses for whom this day is also important and special.

During the first meeting with the ushers, you should find answers to several important questions, for example, who will be the leaders of the wedding - the ushers or a separately engaged person? You should also find out which wedding guests could become reliable helpers on the wedding day, for example, organize separate contests and games.

Leaders – masters of surprises

Whatever the role of ushers in the wedding, it is clear that the wedding planning will take place in cooperation with the couple. Therefore, joint trips to the venue of the celebration and marriage ceremony, wedding salons and other places that the specific couple needs to visit in the process of organizing the wedding should be planned in advance.

It is customary that after the ceremony the young couple together with the ushers disappear from the sight of the guests. This is the moment when the presenters can make a surprise for the couple (most often it is also combined with a photo session for the couple). Many also use this time for a romantic lunch.

In order to better organize everything and estimate how much time the intended surprise will take, it would be important for the drivers to travel the planned route in advance.

A tired driver is not a happy driver

A tired usher is definitely not a happy usher, so when you invite your chosen ushers to be ushers, you should also encourage them to rest properly and ultimately enjoy your wedding day instead of falling into bed at midnight upset and exhausted.

The ushers must know what the couple expects from them, but at the same time they must be sure that the newlyweds will appreciate everything that will be provided for them.
