Our wedding story began in the summer of 2019, when we were sitting on the edge of the pond in my parents' backyard overlooking a part of the property that was overgrown, unkempt forest.

We looked at each other and realized that this is exactly the place where we would like to celebrate our wedding. At that time, we didn't even realize how much work we still had ahead of us.

It was two summers when we mostly devoted our vacations to cleaning this place so that it could be called a wedding place. My dad was a huge support, helping us technically. At the same time, the whole family got involved in the small farms. The forest had to be cleared of bushes, old trees had to be cut down, roots had to be pulled out, the ground leveled, grass sown, the lawn maintained and more and more. We put lamps all over the forest, in the evenings and nights, with the help of friends, we built a terrace-dance floor, we created our own DIY bar based on Pinterest ideas.

We trusted only ourselves during the planning process. We clearly knew what was important to us and what kind of day we wanted.

When choosing service providers, we first supported the professionals among our acquaintances and friends.

But looking back - all the work invested was worth that day. When we woke up on the morning of the wedding, there were still a lot of things to do in order for the day to go as we had planned.

I remember that while I was being painted, my fiance was half-naked and carried buckets of water for the flowers, washed the car and a million other small jobs.

We only had a rough plan to stick to, but we had clearly promised a long time ago that we would let the day unfold at its own pace.

I remember that it was unusual for some service providers not to stick to a specific time or number of minutes allocated for a specific activity. there is only one such day in our life - we knew that we didn't want to look at the clock all the time, but to enjoy the moment here and now. Moments that are about both of us.

We are very happy that our daughters could participate in the wedding. It was a very touching and unforgettable moment when our daughters accompanied me to the altar.

Flipping through the pictures even today - the feelings of heartbreak about our dream wedding day take over. Thanks again to everyone who helped make it happen.
