A wedding is an exciting and long-awaited day, where relatives and friends are waiting with shining eyes for the moment when their loved ones will get married, surrounded by melodies of the sound of the kokle. In about 8 years, I have experienced countless beautiful moments at the wedding ceremony, when the bride goes to the new husband, exchanges rings and says yes to the couple's favorite songs. I will make sure that your special day is unforgettable and filled with peace, with a soulful mood provided by the soft sounds of the kokle.

I am a kokle virtuoso, singer and multi-instrumentalist and I represent different styles of music that I offer in the musical moments of your event :

• instrumental and melodic kokle improvisations for a festive mood;
• popular songs in Latvian or / and English with voice (accompanied by kokle or / and guitar);
• Latvian traditional / folk music melodies and singing in folk style and traditions.

I approach each performance carefully and individually, communicating with the new couple in advance and discussing the smallest details so that the ceremony and other romantic moments at your wedding are exactly as you imagined. Therefore, please report the date of the event in time (minimum 2 weeks before). 

The price of the event is considered individually and consists of the distance to the venue, the need for sound equipment (depending on the number of people), the duration of the performance and special wishes.

About me

I received my musical education at the Jāzeps Vītolas Latvian Academy of Music, in the class of ethnomusicology, and supplemented my knowledge of kokle playing with kokle expert Valdas Muktupāvel. In parallel with my solo career, I also play music in the world music group "JŌRA". As a cochlear, I have participated in various festivals and concerts of national importance in Latvia and abroad (Italy, Uzbekistan, Finland, Australia, Bulgaria, etc.). I have 10 years of experience in teaching the kokle game, having created my own "Kokle School", where I conduct lessons individually, in groups and online.

In December 2023, I released my first single "Sapnis" in collaboration with cellist Eliza Petrenko. In 2024, I visited various cities in Latvia, delighting the audience with solo concerts and master classes in kokle playing, as well as delighting young couples on their most beautiful day - the wedding ceremony!
