Where history and romance meet on your wedding day
Silajani (Solujeny) manor, founded in 1860, once belonged to Baron von Korff and served as an aristocratic summer residence. Guests from near and far countries gathered here to enjoy life - luxurious balls, musical dinners and celebrations in the apple orchard took place. The days passed in walks in the garden, hunting in the woods and peaceful tea hours in the linden alley.
The baron's hunting room, which used to be his office, but today has turned into an elegant guest bedroom, is still preserved in the manor. It reminds of the times when this house was filled with enjoying life, conversations and celebrations.
The atmosphere of the manor was once described by the writer Emilija Pruse, who in her short story tells about staying in this place with her friend - Baroness von Korff. She wrote the letter from a room richly decorated with paintings and overlooking a blossoming apple orchard.
Copies of paintings by François Boucher can also be seen in the manor today - works whose originals once decorated this house and are now in museums and private collections. During the restoration, the original frescoes and symbols of the von Korff family were discovered under the layers of time, restored with great care, allowing the manor to be reborn in its historical beauty.
Today, the manor lives as it once lived - with celebrations, music, lights and people's joy.
Silajāņi manor offers a romantic environment for celebrations of various scales:
"Here, nature and music merge into one - the wind gently moves the tablecloths, but the sounds of music travel further and further through the trees and grass."
The manor offers unique, artistically painted rooms where history meets comfort.
Each number is like a small painting - with its own colors, mood and story.
