Every bride wants to make her wedding day special not only for herself but also for her guests. Often, in the first meetings with us, the wedding agency Magic Moments, couples say: "We want a wedding day that is different from everyone else's, to have something interesting and unusual that will surprise the guests!"

I believe that guests can be surprised either with the implementation of very conceptual and safe ideas, or with an unusual format, but - how to create something memorable if you want a classic wedding and are not ready to implement a very bold concept? A viper can be given to a wedding by using small but special details. In this article, I want to tell you about 5 unusual wedding ideas that have been tested in our practice.

Unusual seating plan

Often the guest seating plan is printed on large plastic or other material. It is beautiful but classic. If you want to come up with something more interesting, you can find a picture of each guest and note the table number. As a result, the guest finds his photo and sometimes his place at the wedding table. Another option: print your photo in a large format and cut it into pieces. On the other side, record the name of the guest and the table number on each slip and put all the slips on the cardboard in the correct order from the side where the guest's name and table are indicated. The condition is as follows: when the guest finds his name, he remembers his table number, turns the sheet upside down and puts it back in the same place. Once all the guests have done this, the seating plan will have your beautiful picture instead! You will keep this picture as a puzzle for cozy game nights for two.

Another idea that we have implemented is the seating plan for the welcome drink. Before entering the hall, guests find a glass of prosecco with their name and table number. As a result, "several rabbits are shot" - the guest feels welcome, knows his table number and enters the hall ready for the first toast!

Special name cards

When the guest has found his table, it is also necessary to find a specially prepared place for him. This is often indicated by a name card, but did you know that this card can also be very special? For example, for one of the young couples, we decided to make name stickers that we stuck to the glasses, so that each guest not only found his place, but also did not mix up the glasses during the whole evening, because no matter where he put it, he would always know that it was his glass. On the other hand, we created name cards for another couple, but with a special idea and design - with Winnie the Pooh! It might seem childish, but during the evening the guests learned that Winnie the Pooh was there because the bride and groom started their relationship thanks to this character.

I will whisper that this year we want to implement another special idea by preparing a special plate for each guest with the guest's name written on it. Therefore, there are several advantages - a beautiful decorative element, there is no need to spend on name cards, and at the end of the evening, by quickly washing them, each guest gets a personalized and nice gift that can be used everyday.

In the course of the evening, the program can also be made special with interesting dishes

It used to be popular to invite dancers, acrobats and illusionists to weddings, but now a new trend is becoming more popular - master classes. People like to attend different workshops and try new things every day, so it will definitely attract guests on the wedding day. It is very good if this master class will be with some special intention. For example, at a wedding where there will be many foreign guests, we plan to organize a Latvian wreath weaving master class, so that everyone can make a wreath for themselves, put it on their head during the ceremony and then take it home as a souvenir. At one wedding we had a professional dancer give a dance master class and the guests learned a dance together. We have also held a homemade gin master class, a chocolate painting master class and others. This is what will remain with the guests as warm and lovely memories from your wedding day.

As the evening approaches, we expect another important attribute of the wedding day - the wedding cake

It can also be specially served. Definitely the most interesting way in our experience is the cake on every table. There were 120 guests at the wedding, and instead of one 18-kilogram cake, we made 12 1.5-kilogram cakes, which were placed on each round table. They were all different, so it was interesting for the guests to look at the cake designs and cut a piece at their own table and treat the others, creating a warm family evening atmosphere. Another option is to color the wedding cake with chocolate velor balloons. It creates a wow effect and the process itself is exciting for the young couple. At another wedding, we had given all the guests the opportunity to paint the wedding cake. Tubes with cream were brought out to the guests and everyone could draw and write what they wanted.

One of the couples chose a simple design for their cake, but as a wick we placed candles on the cake for the new couple to blow out before cutting, celebrating the new family's birthday.

A special and sweet accent on the wedding night can be small gifts prepared by the new couple for the guests

We always try to make everything very personal, so one of our brides is currently making small candles herself to give to her guests. We offered another bride as an idea to provide small tea bags for her guests, as she is involved in collecting and researching herbs on a daily basis.

With another couple, we prepared gifts literally on the wedding day. After the photo session with the guests, we printed out the photos of the new couple with each guest and put them in a frame - the guests received these gifts at the end of the evening. The surprise was quite big!

A young couple had a surprise for the guests when the question was asked at the end of the evening: "Do you know what makes our couple happy?" Each guest was given an envelope with a mirror with the word "You" inside. The guests were touched.

On the other hand, the most beloved surprise came from the couple, who prepared a personalized letter for each guest, and a rather long one at that. Such gifts remain in the memory for a long time, because they are not created "according to a tick", but from the depths of the hearts of the young couple themselves.
