July and August are definitely the last time to hold a seaside wedding in Latvia this year, if you want more to enjoy the touch of the sun and the heated sand between your toes. Of course, there is always a possibility escape the cold weather and get married on some beautiful white sand beach anywhere else in the world.

No matter where it takes place, to have an unforgettable beach wedding, some important suggestions will come in handy, which should be taken into account during preparation.

1. FIND HELPERS!

When organizing a wedding on the seashore, you must be ready to experience various possible and sometimes impossible situations, therefore, we recommend that you think about helpers in the organizing process. They can be your guides or even better – professional wedding planners who have faced various challenges more than once and know how to solve them every problem.

Hiring professionals will save you both time and unnecessary worry. They will help you choose and find the most empty beaches, to plan what the ceremony location might look like and to suggest what to do in the unexpected guest - in case of rain.

2. FOLLOW THE WEATHER FORECASTS!

If the wedding is held on one of Latvia's beautiful beaches, then you have to consider that summers in our latitudes have become unpredictable. However, you should think about the wedding schedule in advance - if you are organizing a wedding in the month of July, when theoretically it should be the hottest, then you should avoid the wedding ceremony in the middle of the day, when the sun is at its highest and not only the guests, but also the newlyweds themselves might be too hot.

The best time for wedding ceremonies on the seashore would be mid-morning or sunset evenings. If this is not possible, then you should think about parasols for guests, especially children and the elderly. And of course seaside weddings, just like any other outdoor wedding, should pay close attention to the weather forecast in order to could warn guests how to dress appropriately.

3. THE PHOTOGRAPHER IS IMPORTANT!

Before deciding on one or the other photographer, find out if he has experience in beach wedding photography. If the ceremony will take place during the day, then the bright sunlight can be a challenge for any professional photographer, therefore, make sure that he will really be able to do what is entrusted to him. Explore his portfolio and show some sample photos of how you would like your special day to be captured.

4. FOR BEACH WEDDINGS – APPROPRIATE DRESSCODE .

If the wedding takes place on a hot summer day on the seashore, then undoubtedly both the bride and the groom must think about matching wedding dresses. For the bride, it could be a light and airy dress sewn using breathable material. The groom, on the other hand, can lose his jacket, put on an airy white shirt and trousers and go to the wedding ceremony, just like the new wife, to come barefoot.

5. FLOWERS AND FOOD – APPROPRIATE TO THE WEATHER.

At a wedding by the sea, you have to expect not only direct sunlight and heat, but also sand and wind - choosing flowers and wedding food should think about all these aspects. For the choice of flowers, it is definitely recommended beforehand consult with a professional florist who will be able to recommend the best and longest lasting options.

The same applies when choosing a wedding meal - fast-melting things should be avoided, as well as for foods that can spoil quickly, such as meat, fish. Meals should be entrusted to a team of professionals who will know what to bring at what time, how to wrap and serve, so that sand does not get into the food.

6. PLAN “B”!

Those brides who decide to leave everything to fate (or the weather) are brave, but plan "B" could be useful. Be it a shed or a nearby house or a hotel or guest house - if necessary, if mother nature would let you down, you would be able to continue leisurely enjoying your special day. And don't forget transparent umbrellas - they say it's raining it will definitely not rain!
