If it rains on the wedding day. How to prepare?

If it rains on the wedding day. How to prepare?

When organizing a wedding, we have a great opportunity to think about everything, even the smallest nuance - from the dominant tone of wedding colors to the raw material of cocktail straws. However, there is one factor that cannot be controlled or predicted - it is the weather.

Most often we dream that our wedding day will be warm and sunny. It would be perfect, wouldn't it? But what if it rains on the wedding day? And is it even possible to prepare for it?

Let

Perfectionists will need more effort, but at the same time the hardest and easiest thing to do is to let go. Accept things as they are. Find pleasure and joy in the changing and unpredictable. Rain has a charm (also on the wedding day and sometimes especially). The rain creates a distinctly romantic atmosphere, and if it has surprised you unexpectedly, it also creates fun and an even stronger sense of togetherness among the wedding couple. If it seems that you would not be able to come to terms with the fact that it will rain on your wedding day, and the celebration would seem spoiled - the best course of action is to plan the wedding only indoors.

Beautiful fact - in many cultures, rain at a wedding symbolizes a happy and successful marriage.

Delicacy for wedding photographers

  • Romantic raindrops, fog, nature's muted color tones and play of light, a sudden downpour - all this is like sweet food for wedding photographers, an ideal scenario in which to express your creative talent and create unforgettable wedding photos. The rain will not only make the photos more romantic, but often you can get particularly amusing and fun wedding photos if the rain has surprised you unexpectedly and is pouring heavily. Or maybe capture a passionate kiss in the rain in a Hollywood movie style?
  • If the wedding is planned outdoors in the garden of a wedding venue, but not in the forest or on the beach, ask about the possibility of "moving" indoors or providing a canopy in case of rain. That way you will also be ready for plan B;

  • White and transparent umbrellas are accessory no. 1 for rainy wedding days. They will not hide you from guests or the eye of the camera, and will serve as a decorative element;
  • If you are planning an outdoor wedding photoshoot, bring rubber boots. They will also be a necessary accessory in muddy weather. And here you just have to make a choice - whether the boots will serve only for practical convenience, so that you can safely and comfortably wade through the meadow (and you won't see them at all in the pictures), or on the contrary - to get bright, colorful rain boots that will give the characters an edge. On a hot summer day, even boots may not be necessary, as bare feet may be preferred;
  • A week before the wedding day, the weather can already become predictable. If the possibility of rain is very likely and the wedding takes place in cool weather, provide everything you need for warmth and comfort - blankets, hot tea and coffee buffets and heating lamps, as well as transparent umbrellas for guests.
