It seems that it is often the case that we have so many ideas about what a perfect summer wedding should be that we forget to consider whether what works for others will also work for us. 1. If the wedding takes place in the summer, then definitely outside! No, it definitely doesn't have to be that way. True, summer in Latvia is as long as it is, and it would seem only logical that yes! to say the word in the open air, however, if you are worried about unpredictable weather fluctuations or other aspects, then why not have an open-air wedding indoors? A good decorator will be able to create a forest or a fragrant hay meadow in any room, if that's what you want. In addition, an indoor wedding could also facilitate a number of organizational issues. The main thing is to listen to your inner voice and act the way you want, not the way it seems to be more acceptable.
2. Summer wedding color palette – light and pastel shades! Undoubtedly, they are one of the most popular shades for any wedding, regardless of the season, however, if you are sure that soft and romantic shades do not suit your personality, do not choose them just because it is accepted. Why not use a black or moss green tablecloth instead, accented with gold or copper crockery and white or colorful flowers? You should not be afraid of dark colors even at weddings - in the right combinations, they will get a unique look and help you stand out among the countless pastel-colored weddings.
3. A wedding by the sea will be troublesome! We can promise - there will really be challenges. However, if a seaside wedding is your wildest dream, don't let a few organizational issues stop you. By thinking about everything in time, all apparent obstacles can be solved. Event organizer and founder of "Skudras Metropolis" Gundega Skudriņa points out that when organizing a holiday by the sea, you will have to think about many things - food should be served at the last minute because of the sand, you should not get carried away with anything that melts because of the open sun, and you should also keep an eye on what happens with meat and fish dishes. But if we count on the place where we are going, then everything should come together perfectly.
4. Classics are not suitable for a summer wedding! And again - no! Classics will always be in fashion - both in clothes and in details. Of course, the warm summer weather makes you rethink your wedding wardrobe, but it certainly doesn't prevent you from wearing a classic long wedding dress as full as you want. Undoubtedly, summer is the right time when couples express various non-traditional wedding ideas - in wedding style, location, event, but also seemingly traditional classics can become non-traditional if some original details are included.
5. Wedding in the city - no way! Who said that? Often, even if the wedding ceremony takes place in Riga, a closer or further place outside the capital is chosen as the place of celebration. However, Riga also has many places to celebrate such an important event. It can be both the beautiful roof terraces of Old Riga and industrial premises, even various clubs and restaurants rented specifically for wedding purposes. As I have already mentioned, a good decorator will be able to turn any place into a fairyland, regardless of how many kilometers this place is or is not from the capital.
