On Saturday, April 23, applications closed for the project Wedding gift or colorful dreams awake , in which TOP wedding professionals united to give a couple with an inspiring love story an unforgettable event - a dream wedding.

The organizers of the project would like to thank all 136 couples who were not afraid to dream, sharing very special moments from their lives, were ready to go on a magical adventure and become a family on the most beautiful day of spring.

Couples' stories and shared adventures are truly inspiring, and choosing the one real couple to receive such a unique gift will be really, really hard.

Also, the whole organizing team asks you not to take this as a competition, because love obeys neither rules nor regulations. Project  Wedding gift is not a competition and there is no winner here, above all there is love, interesting personalities and stories that inspire!

The couple who will say the magical YES to each other on May 30 will be announced at the opening event of the Līgavām.lv portal on April 28, while the news will be published on the portal on April 29.

In the meantime, we introduce five couples whom the project organizers wanted to invite to a meeting.

Kristīne and Emils "The story of our acquaintance is long and interesting, but very difficult to tell - a book should be written. Emil's first thought - I will never forget the first time I saw you, it was in Midsummer, when you were standing by a cherry tree surrounded by the sun and feasting on cherries. Then I fell in love with you!"

Līga and Arnis "The joy of meeting again was immeasurable and seemed like a dream. The dream was followed by a rather profound encounter with reality, we were on the other side of the world, in a completely different environment, where everything was different than usual. Critical moments for both of us were the natural disasters that followed one after the other - the strongest earthquake experienced in this region in 100 years, which a month later a super typhoon followed. Living in Asia, we realized how much we really, really like to travel, but at the same time, we also miss home, our loved ones, cheese, wholemeal bread and the fresh air, wonderful nature and clean cities of Latvia."

Karīna and Gatis "We drive on the highway, it's raining outside, we stop the car and dance, we dance in the rain, we feel ourselves, we feel life and the fact that we are young, crazy and being so cool together! We dance when we are happy and dance when we are sad. We allow ourselves to be spontaneous, we always have a tent in the trunk and a survival kit as well – water, cheese, wine, matches..."

Līga and Mārtiņš "We got into the car, ``bug'', that's what we called our little car, and we went to the Balkans. We knew the direction, but the rest... We just let ourselves go! We knew that we wanted to reach one of the peaks. It turned out to be the peak of Savin Kuk In the Durmitor National Park, as well as one of the peaks in our own."

Kristīne and Jacques "I didn't manage to introduce Jacques to my dad. And it was very important to him, because he lost his dad early. That day I drove to take dad's last clothes of honor. There, in the cool room, He suddenly asked that he still wanted to get to know my dad, at least like this. And then He asked my dad for my hand in marriage. I admit, that we were crazy at that moment. And you know what? We thought Dad was smiling."
