11 time management tips

Time is money. We've all heard this phrase. Don't you wish the days were longer? 24 hours a day is not enough! How, while raising children , being in a relationship, working, can you also manage to socialize, play sports or devote even a little bit of time to yourself?

But maybe on the contrary - you have quite a lot of free time, but you don't have the motivation and energy to do anything?

Sound like you?

In that case, I invite you to join my 21 Day Motivation Challenge , which will start on June 21st! To learn more about the challenge, press [šeit]!

However, in order to get a little insight into strategies and ideas that will help you plan your time better, so that you can find some time for yourself, I have collected 11 time planning tips!

1. Use a planner

It's the easiest way to keep track of your time, write down your thoughts, activities, appointments, to-dos, and other things you should never forget. This will help you understand how much you can accomplish during the day, as well as analyze where your precious time is spent, regardless of whether you spend it productively. Remember to plan everything! There are many free apps available to help you organize all your activities. Of course, you can also choose a paper planner that fits in your bag and carry it everywhere.

BONUS TIP - spend the first 30 minutes of each day planning your time. Don't start your day until you've finished planning your time. The most important time of your day is the time you set aside for scheduling!

2. Set priorities

Priorities, priorities and again priorities! Understand what is most important on your to-do list and what must be done. Make a to-do list and set aside enough time to complete them. This will help you get a huge sense of satisfaction when you cross things off your to-do list. Plan your tasks according to their urgency and deadlines.

3. Get rid of all distractions

Things that distract us are everywhere! No matter how tempting they are, try to keep your focus on what you are doing. Disconnect from Facebook and other social media platforms, mute notifications, learn not to answer calls just because you hear the ringtone.

4. Set long-term and short-term goals

What can you do in one day? During the week? By the end of the month? Maybe by the end of the year? Dividing your goals into short-term and long-term periods is a great way to stay focused and motivated while working on one task, and setting such goals gives you strong motivation. Ensure that all your goals are planned in time and realistically achievable.

5. Just start

Stop waiting for the perfect moment, the perfect day, or anything else that may never come. Just start! "I will start exercising from Monday" or "I will quit smoking from tomorrow" do not work! It demotivates you and you put it off, put it off and put it off until the next Monday, until you realize that a year has passed and you still haven't started. Stop thinking and start doing! Yes, you may not be able to go back in time and start over, but you can definitely start today!

6. Be focused

The more focused your attention will be, the more successful you will become. By creating this habit, you can be sure that more and more things will be crossed off your to-do list. Do not do several tasks at the same time just to get them done faster. It never works. Focus on one.

7. Stop and think

The key to success is a positive approach. Do not rush to do all possible and impossible tasks. Stop and relax, take a deep breath, meditate, clear your mind so you can see the big picture, plan and accomplish what you set out to do!

8. Learn to say "no"

Remember this law - the busier you will be, the more people will want your time. For example, if you are invited to a meeting, first find out its topic and purpose. If you realize that they do not meet your goals, politely decline and, if you can, recommend someone who would appreciate such an opportunity. You don't want to waste your time or anyone else's time.

9. Get up earlier

"The first to ride, the first to grind" is already a proverbial classic, and for good reason! Starting the day earlier will make you more productive. And you will become even more productive if you add a specific time to each task, thus being in full control of your day.

10. Use the 80/20 rule

this Pareto principle states that 80% of the effects arise from 20% of the causes. What does that have to do with you? It's quite simple - first you need to measure how much time you spend productively and how much time you waste. You will get a report in which it will be easy to notice and prioritize the 20% of tasks that generate 80% of the results, and you will get additional time for other activities that are important to you.

11. Find balance in your mind and life

Regardless of how much you try and how much you work, the amount of work does not decrease, or even on the contrary - increases. Why? Because we always have something to do. Do not allow negative thoughts to take over your mind, find a balance and praise yourself - you are a badass!

Remember you have 24 hours. Use them productively and fill your day with things that make you happy. We are often so busy that we forget to enjoy what we are doing. Ask yourself: "What can I do to spend more time on the things I enjoy?" Feeling satisfied should always be your goal.
