20 IMPORTANT QUESTIONS TO ASK YOUR SELECTED CELEBRATION VENUE

20 IMPORTANT QUESTIONS TO ASK YOUR SELECTED CELEBRATION VENUE

Many couples have already booked their wedding venues the previous year, which is very good, because a very large number of lucky ones are planning to get married this year. However, if you are just now planning to start "tours" of guest houses, we will share some recommendations and questions that you should definitely ask your chosen wedding venue:

  1. What types of table layouts are possible in the specific place and how many guests can be comfortably seated;
  2. Look, maybe there are beautiful designer wooden tables on the spot and you don't need to cover them with tablecloths. Currently, in wedding fashion, it is very popular to leave "bare" tables, decorating them in the middle with lace, table runners of different fabrics, lots of flowers, green plants and candles;
  3. Is there enough space for a band of musicians, a DJ, a dance floor, a sweets and gift table, a buffet table;
  4. What type of catering does the venue offer? Is it possible to agree on a more modern meal plan where the dishes are served to guests in multiple courses and portions? In this way, the tables remain clean and only with decorations and are not hidden with "herring in fur" and "cold meat galettes" (here we exaggerate, of course:))
  5. Ask to be sure to show tablecloths, dishes, glasses, cutlery. We recommend that you think about renting tablecloths if the specific celebration venue offers only white, shiny tablecloths;
  6. Bring up the issue of serving alcohol, it doesn't look particularly neat if a beautifully decorated table is littered with plastic bottles of alcohol and Coca Cola ;
  7. What will the guest chairs be? If you plan to cover the uglier chairs with chair covers, what quality, gloss and whiteness are they? We recommend good quality wooden chairs for celebrations and try to discourage chair covers (but here, of course, a matter of taste and chairs);
  8. Find out what time decorators can start work. This summer promises to be a wedding boom and there will be one weekend wedding after another. This means that at each subsequent wedding, the decorators have less and less time to decorate, because the previous "wedding guests" have to have breakfast, remove their decorations, the guest house has to clean the celebration rooms, and only then the next decorators can start their work. This will greatly affect not only the cost of decoration, but also the possibilities that can be managed to decorate in such a busy time;
  9. If you are planning a wedding ceremony next to the venue, make sure to plan it in a place that can be connected to electricity, because without sound system, your guests will probably not be able to hear you, nor will it be possible to play your special music. It is good if the place of the ceremony is chosen near a beautiful tree with reaching branches, in this way money will be saved on the construction of wedding arches, because various ribbons, tulles, flower vases, etc. can be hung from the tree, which also creates a beautiful and romantic feeling of the marriage;
  10. Find out about the vases at the party venue. Namely, do they have enough vases to place the flowers given by the guests, or do they have to be provided separately;
  11. When thinking about the area where the newlyweds and ushers will sit, it is important that there are no windows or mirrors behind them, from the photographer's point of view. It is important to cover these windows with tulle, curtains, etc., so that there is no reflection in the photographs;
  12. Ask the event venue owners to show you how many power sockets there are in the event space, so you can plan where to plug in the lights, etc.;
  13. Be sure to ask how successfully the adjacent area of the celebration site has been used so far - where the mingling looks good, where the photo corner. Chances are the venue has had many weddings by now and feel free to ask them for advice, you won't have to figure out a new bike;
  14. In each place you can also notice interesting furniture, buffets, ask if they can be used and designed - in this way you would save on renting separate furniture from rental companies and get an effective "object" in the celebration room;
  15. Make sure there is enough lighting in the room so that the photographer you choose is not sad. If this is insufficient, you will have to think about renting separate light projectors;
  16. Be sure to ask questions that are not allowed at the particular party location. There are places where nothing is allowed to be hung from the ceiling, there are places where candles are not allowed, etc.;
  17. If it is planned to place rental or decorators' furniture outside, under the open sky, for example, a photo corner, then it should be noted that the place of celebration will take care of them in case of rain and bring them to dry premises;
  18. If the marriage ceremony is planned outside, then plan B must also be provided for the wedding day.
  19. Daudzas līgavas ir izsapņojušas, ka jaunlaulāto numuriņš būs noklāts ar rožlapiņu lietu. Vairākas svinību vietas pret to kategoriski iebilst, jo rožlapiņas izdala ēteriskās eļļas, kuras ir grūti nomazgāt. This matter, like the shooting of the confetti , must be coordinated with the place of celebration, so that there is no mutual misunderstanding the next morning;
  20. Uzziniet, līdz cikiem nākošajā dienā ir jānovāc visas dekorācijas

Ar šiem jautājumiem saskaros gandrīz katru reizi, tiekoties ar līgavām un līgavaiņiem. Therefore, they are summarized in these recommendations. If you need advice, feel free to write iluta.pit@gmail.com , https://ligavam.lv/profils/mintdeco/
