There are still various stereotypes about bachelor parties, that they resemble the Hollywood movie The Hangover , where the groom and his friends get into all sorts of trials, get unplanned tattoos and still don't remember most of the party. Although there is some truth in all of this, and certainly there have been and will be many more bachelor parties in the world that resemble those seen in the movies, but bachelor parties can also be celebrated in style.

Instructions from the bride - do not touch the groom's face and beard

Only Emil's fiancee had told his friends that the groom's face and beard were a taboo that the participants of the bachelor party should not touch under any circumstances.

"When my friends came to pick me up at eight in the morning on the morning of the party, I was surprised at how messed up everyone was. At that moment, I already started to think that the party would be very calm. It seemed unbelievable, because my sister's husband, whom we didn't feel sorry for at his bachelor party, also attended my party. It seemed that there must be some kind of "revenge". And I was right - in the morning we started with a photo session, but the following part of the day was already much more active. During the photo session, I felt free, and I knew that I had to do what I was told to do, I didn't want to challenge fate," says Emil.

Testing the groom's pain threshold

Immediately after the photo session, Emil was greeted by his first tasks - he had to run a bit and crawl through the attractions of the children's playground. "After the first test was passed, I was blindfolded and taken in an unknown direction. When I was told to climb the stairs, I realized that we were going to an apartment. There, still blindfolded, I was told to undress and lie down on a massage couch. All the while I could hear everyone rubbing their hands in the background.

And then I felt... Wax strips were glued to my legs, back, stomach. Some of these wax strips remained, but some were torn off on the spot - I tried to hold on and not show weakness in front of the others," recalls Emil, laughing.

Later, the groom was dressed in the clothes of a construction worker and went electric karting with his friends. On the way, he had to answer some questions and give balloons to passers-by. "As I was leaving, the karting officials asked me if there were any penalties. Then the guys unbuttoned my shirt and tore the most painful strip of wax from my chest," says Emil.

Emil's endurance, strength and pain threshold were also tested in the following tasks. When shopping for the joint picnic, it was the groom who had to carry all the heavy shopping bags. On the way, the guys decided to play airsoft games in Mežapark, where Emil had to answer questions about his future wife. "If I answered correctly, I could shoot once at each of them, but if I answered incorrectly, they each shot once in my back. As it turned out, the others were surprised that I did not outwardly show the pain that each shot caused. The others both bent and screamed in pain," recalls the groom.

The timing of the party is important

For other grooms and their friends, Emil recommends holding a bachelor party at least a month before the wedding, especially if some physical activities are planned.

"I got an injury while playing airsoft , the treatment regimen of which is at least a month on crutches. In my case, the doctor allowed me to go to the altar without them," says Emil. On the other hand, Emil advises the grooms themselves not to interfere in the party planning process - let the others do what they have planned. Of course, you can express your wishes, but in the end, everything should be up to the friends. And the most important thing is to enjoy your party, no matter what awaits you!
