GET IDEAS FOR THE HEART/SCHESTER PARTY!

Some call them hen and stag parties, some say the bride and groom say goodbye to their single life, and some call it a gathering of the bride's girlfriends and the groom's friends before the wedding. The names may be different, but the main idea is the same - to organize a holiday just for them. That's why Ligavam.lv found out what trends are current this year among bachelor and bachelor party celebrants.

THE MOST IMPORTANT PROVISION – WHAT DOES THE BRIDE / GROOM WANT?

Dear girlfriends and friends, the main organizers of bachelorette and bachelorette parties, the most important prerequisite for a beautiful and successful party applies directly to you -

to think and understand what the main character of the party really wants.

An inherently shy and romantic bride will hardly be happy at a party where she will have to ask strange guys for phone numbers or otherwise be rude. For another bride, it will be just what she needs to make the evening unforgettable. Therefore, the only thing you need to know is to really understand your girlfriend/boyfriend in order to create the best possible party scenario. Arta Bondare, creative director of event agency Oga Events , agrees with this, stating that "often party organizers try to include elements that they find exciting, but do not think that it does not correspond to the wishes of the bride or groom-to-be. The best are those parties where girls or boys can just hang out with their friends, as they did before they were married." Alise Kolosova/ Boutique Event Planning also admits that there are no standards in hen and stag parties. Everything depends to a large and personal extent on the person for whom it is being held. "In a bachelorette/bachelorette party, only the bride/groom is allowed special and enjoyable things in this event, so the organization should involve the closest friends and girlfriends. For some it will be a joint trip with girlfriends, and for some it will be a meeting with a special celebrity."

AN OLD GUY WHO SELLS ICE CREAM?

Once we have understood what the specific bride/groom might (not) like, we can start generating specific ideas. Arta Bondare says that bachelors often choose more active or even more extreme elements for their parties. It is men who often want to include an activity reminiscent of their study days, such as a poker tournament or computer game night. At such parties, bachelors focus on the active part only on the second day - be it paintball, bungee jumping or swimming in the cold sea, wakeboarding and other activities. "There's an element of fun to every party. It's common to bring in the biggest partygoers from friends of friends who act as a kind of party fuel . To add to the fun, it's popular at bachelor parties to dress up the groomsmen as a movie character like Superman or The Dark Knight, or to have everyone dress up in a fun style like portraying guys from the district with all the appropriate attributes," says the creative director of Oga Events , remembering that at a bachelor party, the groom had to carry a milk jug full of ice and beer with him all day in order to feel the burden of the responsibility of married life.

On the other hand, the groom's friends had come up with a test - to sell ice cream on the Riga - Sigulda train. "It all ended with a small skirmish between the bachelors and local ice cream sellers, who thought they were encroaching on their business. This just proves one thing once again - you have to be ready for anything at bachelor and bachelorette parties," Arta Bondare is convinced.

YACHT, BATH RITUAL OR COMMON MASTER CLASS.

It is often the girlfriends of the bride who pay a lot of attention to the organization of the bachelorette party, so there are usually many elements of surprises. Recent trends show that girls choose different forms for their parties - it can be a day spent near the water or on the water (for example, a trip on a yacht or SUP boards, which have been so popular lately), or by participating in joint activities - cooking, learning to dance, trying something new and unprecedented.

"Girls' parties are more often focused on lightness, beautiful pictures, frolicking and peaceful enjoyment of life. Various master classes (cooking sweets, for example) and walks along childhood paths are often included. However, hen parties are also not without slightly challenging activities - visiting a shooting range (plus, girls are very good at shooting at targets) or climbing a tower using mountain climbing equipment or dressed in a black leather suit are driven at high speed on a motorcycle

.

At one of the most heartfelt bachelorette parties, the bride admitted at the end of the event that she had never enjoyed a proper birthday or name day party, because the holiday falls on the solstice, so this day turned out to be so full of positive emotions for her that at the end of the evening she had no energy to go conquer the dance floor. And that's good," recalls Arta Bondare. For those girls who like Latvian traditions and going to the sauna, she recommends Līgavu pirtī. It's a special ritual to be done together with friends before the wedding. An event lasting almost six hours with SPA elements in the peace and quiet of the countryside, or an opportunity to gather your thoughts and feel like a real bride.

NOT ONE DAY BUT A WEEK?

Who decided how long or short a bachelorette/bachelorette party should be? It can be one day for someone, one week for another. Everything according to wishes and possibilities. Shared travel is no longer only seen in Hollywood movies, where one of the most popular phrases is “What happens in Las Vegas, stays in Las Vegas!”.

Latvian trends also show that more and more brides and grooms are taken on joint trips outside our country's borders.

The reasons and possibilities are various, often the climatic conditions of another country allow to prepare an even more exciting program for the main culprit of the evening, besides, such a trip will be an event not only for the bride/groom, but also for the others involved. Maybe it's time to find out what a bachelorette/bachelorette dream destination is and start planning an insanely exciting trip?

REMEMBER THE DETAILS!

No party can do without details. Make sure that everyone involved has a special element (dresses of a uniform style, accessories) that will be noticed by those around you and visually stand out beautifully in the photos. If we talk about pictures, in the age of social media, the special hashtag of the day will also be useful, where you can let your imagination run wild - all the pictures from the event will be found in one click away and you will be able to reminisce even later, when the event has already passed.
