HOW TO NOT LEAVE YOUR NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS? COACH RECOMMENDED

The coach Linda Vanaga of a fulfilling life shares tested methods.

Research shows that every year at this time, most people have already given up on their New Year's for purposes . Nothing is overdue yet, you can still achieve your goals! Only you will have to devote time to analyze your New Year's goals, focus only on those goals that will significantly develop and improve yours life, and with discipline and determination would take concrete actions to achieve the goals.

Write down!

If the goals are written, then there is a greater chance of achieving them. Do not allow that the goals are only in your head, but in vain time to write them down on paper. It will be like a promise to yourself.

Choose goals that will make a significant difference

Take your list of goals and for each of the goals answer the question - what will the fulfillment of this goal change in my life? What ones areas of life it will affect? If one of the goals will not change anything in your life, then give it up, don't waste yours time and energy for it. Leave only those goals that will significantly affect your present and future.

Imagine how you will feel

You must be committed and enthusiastic about these goals, so imagine how you will feel when the goal is reached. If you cannot imagine the excitement and satisfaction of the result, then give up this goal, but focus only for those goals, the result of which you will be excited, happy, full of energy, proud of yourself.

The goal must have positive energy

Instead of “ lose weight by 15 kg by 30. for June', defines the goal as 'to weigh 65 kg on June 30'. If you want to lose weight, then you this goal will most likely imagine it as difficulties, because you will have to give up delicious dishes , will have to sweat; but with a positively defined goal you will imagine yourself lying on the beach on June 30 and feeling good about your height - confident and beautiful. define each of your goals in this way so that it is focused on positive, not painful development.

Goals are defined precisely and in detail

When do you want to reach them? How will you measure progress? What small goals and tasks will need to be implemented to get closer and reach the big goal? The deadline is essential so that you do not postpone the achievement of the goal for a later time. Likewise it is essential to measure your progress, for example, how much you should weigh on a certain date. Write down all the actions you will take on specific dates so you have a detailed plan to follow.

Start now!

When the plan is ready, take the first step within 24 hours that leads you to achieving your goal. If you get closer during the day, take at least one step towards the realization of the goal, then you are sufficiently motivated to achieve this goal.

Create a habit or ritual that you do every day or every few days to achieve your goal. For example, commit to exercise for 15 minutes every day at 5:45 p.m.

Don't be afraid of difficulties

Be aware that there will be difficulties, unpredictable circumstances, obstacles on the way to every goal - think about them now and think, what you will do when you encounter them. Are you even ready to face difficulties? Won't you give in to the first ones? obstacles?  Are you ready to give up something in order to achieve the goal - the time spent, the money spent? for a cause, delicious food, hobbies, TV series... If you are ready, nothing will stop you. But if you are not ready, then unfortunately you are not yet mature for this goal or this goal is not that important in your life.

When there are difficulties, remember the reasons why you want to achieve the goal, the feelings you will have when realizing the goal.

Involve other people in the realization of your goals

Say your goal out loud to someone close to you and ask them to motivate you when you face difficulties.

Involve and cooperate with other people in the performance of specific tasks - go to a nutritionist, find a sports coach, join an interest group where people have a similar goal to yours. Remember that you don't have to do everything for one, the involvement of others gives support, saves time, helps to find other solutions for the implementation of the goal and leads to forward.

Remember that there is no set date, like January 1 or your birthday, when to set your goals and start implement them.

You can start objectives at any time. Get started today!
