"When the official part and hustle and bustle of the first day is over, on the second day you can relax, talk to the guests and continue the party. That's why we chose to order a portable sauna and a "party" on the second day, ordered pizzas for dinner and watched a video from the pre-wedding party we had together, because everyone is our friend, regardless of gender, as well as photos from the past," advise Ieva and Krišjānis.
When creating wedding invitations, Ieva and Krišjānis recommend making them as minimal as possible, including only the most important information - place, time, date.
On the other hand, include all additional necessary information in the attached letter. If the wedding is held in an open atmosphere, it must be specified whether a swimsuit will be required, what kind of floor covering is planned (hard or grass), so that the ladies can decide on the most suitable shoes.
Similarly, Ieva and Krišjānis mentioned as additional information that there will also be cats at the wedding venue, which could be valuable news for those who have any allergic reactions.
Liene and Kārlis also organized their wedding celebration as a real open-air festival - with performances by various musicians and artists, food stations and even a brave B lack of a plan in case of rain.
"During our wedding celebration, we had the opportunity to swim and warm up in the ball during the evening, and the next day to play football together, so each guest could find their favorite activity, and we didn't have to worry about having to follow a specific event program," Liene and Kārlis say.
Liene and Kārlis admit that although for the most part everything went as planned on the wedding day, there were a couple of complications that had to be faced. "There were complications with lodging and renting tents, but I don't know what we could have done better. Delegation of friends might have helped.
I had planned to work on the decorations and the creation of the costume myself, but due to lack of time I could not fully realize my ideas," admits Liene.
"We didn't have ushers, and many argued that we wouldn't be able to do everything ourselves. But that's exactly what we wanted - to organize the kind of party we want, to do as much as we can, without wishing anyone else to take on this difficult and responsible job for us, because it's our day, but to make it our can only be done if we put everything into it myself.
We also didn't have a wedding car, so costs and unnecessary consumption of resources were reduced - so to speak, we had to worry about one less thing. The whole event took place in one location, so both we and the guests did not get tired of unnecessary trips or unserved dinners.
We also chose to spend the night there the night before. Mainly because all the renovation work took place the night before, but a big plus is that you can settle in and catch that pleasant feeling of the holiday in time, wait for the party-goers to come to you, to bring flowers and most importantly, to see guests coming to you, watching from the window or meeting friends you haven't seen for a long time on the porch - it feels just like being at home!" īpašās sajūtas atminas Liene.
