We already wrote that from May 2 to 4, the fourth international annual congress of wedding planners took place in Phuket, Thailand ( Destination Wedding Planners Congress ). Wedding and event organizer Sindija Vilde / BORDO also took part in the congress as the only representative. It is the only event of this scale, where the best wedding planners from all over the world meet to inspire each other and to be inspired by experts in the field, to establish contacts and get to know the behind-the-scenes of wedding planning in the luxury segment.

Although northerners are apparently considered to be a bit reserved and even introverted people, Cindy Wilde completely overturned this assumption without going unnoticed by the wide circle of congress participants. At the end of the congress, it was Cindy who received the award in the nomination FIREBALL (translated from English - "fireball"), being recognized as the most energetic, friendly, attractive and positive participant of the congress among 550 participants.

“My energy at this convention was immeasurable, because I was and am excited to be among the best wedding planners in the world, to talk with them, to learn what their experience is in this industry,”

, saying that during the congress she talked with both the wedding organizer of the world-famous singer Beyonce and the wedding organizers of a famous Indian prince. During the congress, the participants had the opportunity to hear more than one inspiring lecture and address from industry specialists. Cindy singles out wedding planner Preston Bailey, who has been in the wedding business for almost 40 years and has organized many celebrity weddings over the years. His main message about organizing weddings was a call to maintain quality and not to stop, but to strive higher. But most importantly, he reminded me of what is most important - people may forget what you said or did, but they will never forget how you made them feel.

"It was also interesting for me to listen to other opinion leaders. I gained a lot of new knowledge and strengthened my existing knowledge, for example, do not risk quality - it should always be the highest. A wedding organizer must make every moment magical, as well as build successful cooperation with third parties and service providers.

Similarly, wedding organizers and representatives of the wedding field in general should be active in social networks and maintain their quality. We were once again reminded that fashion trends in the wedding industry have absolutely no meaning - the main thing is that the wedding is about the couple and it is exactly what they want.

Of course, it was interesting to learn what it really means to work with luxury weddings. For them, the wedding planner is like a family member, a best friend, a person of trust. And it may sound paradoxical, but it is the luxury class weddings who are the most demanding of the exact budget estimate and its details. They want their wedding to be better than their friends and acquaintances. It must be understood that the amounts they are talking about are huge.

For example, in Asian countries, 1,000 guests at a wedding is the very minimum, they can be as many as 5,000. Of course, the budget for such a wedding can be as large as Latvia's annual budget," says Sindija.

During the congress, Cindy also had the opportunity to look at various wedding ceremony locations around the world - underwater, in a hot air balloon, in a cave, in a safari desert with snow, on the transparent surface of water and more and more. As she herself says, it allowed her to think more broadly and dream more, which perfectly matches the common theme of the entire congress - Flying high and dreaming big (translated from English - "to fly high and dream big dreams"). "The couple of days spent at the congress were full of various insights.

The biggest thing I gained for myself - priceless professional contacts, friends, and I also strengthened the knowledge in myself - believe in what you do and do it. I see that the Latvian wedding industry must also develop, see more, think more broadly and do bigger things. And it is possible," assured Cindy.

She points out that the congress also talked a lot about wedding tourism or wedding destinations. Sindija also spoke about Latvia in this context, wanting to establish that Latvia is becoming one of such destinations.
