The amount of peony varieties is increasing every year

In Latvia, peonies bloom in mid-June. Although its season is mainly May and June, there are brides who order peony bouquets in other seasons as well. Depending on the color, peonies can complement compositions of completely different moods, but more often their airy texture is the embodiment of tenderness itself.

The main flower of the wedding

Brides all over the world have fallen in love with these gorgeous flowers, which look great in both bridal bouquets and decorations. Because of their large flower, peonies often become the main flower of a wedding. Paired with roses and lilies and other flowers, peonies will make a fantastic bridal bouquet, but if the bride wants a bouquet made entirely of peonies, that will look great too. It should be remembered that because of the large flower, a very large amount of peonies is not necessary.  MintDeco florist Signe Muceniece believes that peonies are one of the most beautiful flowers - variety of colors, fragrance, softness and royalty in one.

"Of course, you can find the most beautiful peonies in the central market in the summer, but since the blooming time of peonies in Latvia is relatively short, we usually buy them in flower bases for decoration. It is relatively easy to work with peonies, as long as you know how to choose them when they have already bloomed, not overbloomed.

Although peonies are currently available all year round in Latvia, they are the most beautiful and of the highest quality at the beginning of summer, which is also the right time for peonies weddings.

Peonies have not lost their popularity, but currently they are more often mixed with other flowers, and weddings with only peonies have also lost their popularity," says MintDeco florist Signe Muceniece.
