Traditionally, we have created that the wedding cake is cut around midnight, after the wedding ceremony, however, trends are changing, and nowadays it is more and more often done right after the wedding ceremonies. Wedding planner and decorator Iluta Piternika / MintDeco advocates the idea of serving the wedding cake right after the main event of the day - wedding ceremonies. She points out that more and more couples are choosing just such a solution.

She has observed that young couples often spend a lot of time choosing a cake - they find a reliable confectioner, taste, think about the visual appearance of the cake. "But often guests, eating the wedding cake at night, don't really appreciate it at all and does not pay due attention to it. I personally cannot eat the wedding cake at night either, but if it is served immediately after the ceremony, then I judged with the greatest pleasure", Iluta shares his experience.

Of course, if the couple has decided that the right time to present their wedding cake will be right after the ceremony, then before all issues related to logistics should be thought through.

Iluta Piternika indicates that decorating the cake table is increasingly being thought of now. "More and more weddings decorators are also involved in decorating the cake. The young couple wants the visual form of the cake to be in harmony with the overall wedding stylistics, so the decorators use live flowers and plants to decorate the cake, which are also used in the celebration room in design.

That is to say, so that everything is created in a unified style and that the cake is not only simply placed somewhere, but also taken care of, so that the place where it will be placed is beautifully decorated,” so Iluta. She points out - the place, because not always that there will be a traditional dessert table. Iluta invites young couples to also think about guests with various food intolerances. "I think it's a very nice gesture on the part of the new couple to additionally order a small vegan wedding cake so that those guests who do not consume eggs, dairy products or flour in their diet would also not feel deprived and could enjoy serving the cake a moment," advises Iluta.
