On February 12, 2026, OTTO Hotel & Sun celebrated its 5th birthday here, in the historic small town of Pavilosta on the amber coast of Kurzeme.
The hotel is located in two buildings only 100 m from the Baltic Sea beach.
A reconstructed building built in the thirties of the last century, which once housed both a kindergarten and an army unit. Architect Rasa Klein (also from Zeimulis Rēzekne, the author of the Lighthouse of Lake Lubān) has turned the complex into a comfortable, accessible place for everyone to take a breather, gather strength and enjoy the sun all year round with respect for the historical construction of the fishing town. The red bricks of the historic Tīklu house were used in the renovation, the facade was painted with natural linseed oil paint. The emphasis in the building's architecture is on the great environment that is next to OTTO. Some of the rooms with balconies face the Saka River, at the mouth of which there is a small fishing port. The roof terrace with a cocktail bar provides an excellent view of the last sunset on this side of the Baltic Sea. You can also see the dark green pine forests and Pāvilosta's Gray Dune, as well as OTTO's yard, where the crocuses planted there will start to bloom in a couple of weeks.
SPA area
Pāvilosta weather station registers the most sunny hours in Latvia in a year, and therefore OTTO Hotel & Sun is also guided by sunlight. OTTO's sun shines every day. In the sun and pool area, we offer the first solar lamp in Latvia, which filters UV-A and UV-B rays in a healthy way, giving you the opportunity to get a healthy tan and recharge your skin with vitamin D, and then swim in the pool or warm up in the black sauna. Among the SPA procedures, you will also find infrared light therapy, the lamps of which have a beneficial effect on the deeper layers of the skin and muscles.
Access to the sun and pool area for guests is included in the overnight stay. In case of celebrations, it is provided exclusively - without other visitors.
Restaurant
OTTO Restaurant is located on the first floor of the Great House, and the OTTO chef always brings the freshest products from local farms to the table for his guests, and the catch of local fishermen is also not missing. Every overnight stayer is treated to a hearty breakfast at OTTO, and every afternoon Wine Hour is called, when guests are treated to wines from the Antonio Bonifacio winery in Portugal. In addition, hotel guests can enjoy delicious coffee at the reception at any time.
The offer of celebrations and banquets at the OTTO restaurant is seasonal, and vegan and vegetarian food options are also possible by prior agreement. In 24 Nordic-style rooms, each guest has ecological shower accessories, a hair dryer, slippers and bathrobes, a minibar, and tea accessories. Also worth mentioning are our super comfortable beds and 100% cotton bed linen.
For guests' special events, there is an event space on the first floor of the Network House, which is connected to the restaurant's garden terrace and where it is possible to organize an event of any format, both for work and leisure. OTTO is a child-friendly hotel, therefore, on the second floor of the Great House, there is a well-equipped Children's Playroom with a large blackboard wall, Montessori toys, games and drawing materials.
The hotel welcomes guests with four-legged pets in the rooms provided for them.

How long before the celebration should the reservation be made?
By making a reservation and paying the deposit in time, you guarantee the date of the celebration you want. We recommend making reservations for the summer season 3-6 months before the event, but in the winter season the time period decreases to one month. The specified dates have only recommendatory content, feel free to ask about the options at another convenient time for you! For celebrations with a festive meal, the exact number of guests and the meal must be coordinated no later than 7 days before the event.

In celebration with overnight stay at OTTO Hotel & Sun: 48 adults, 9 children, 3 infants. Celebratory meals at OTTO Restaurant: up to 70 people.
