2019 WEDDING SEASON FLOWER TRENDS

2019 WEDDING SEASON FLOWER TRENDS

Spring is approaching, and the flourishing flowers in the store stands are increasingly making us think about this year's trends in the choice of flowers for bridal bouquets and wedding decorations. Undoubtedly, brides often pay special attention to flowers, so LĪGAVĀM presents a compilation of this year's floral trends.

Different colors of flowers as a means of expression

Florist Liāna Natenadze / InBloom points out that although there are no radical changes in wedding flower fashion this year, the trends that could be sensed in previous wedding seasons are in full bloom this year.

For example, colors in wedding flowers will become a means of expression for decorators and couples themselves. Referring to this year's current color of coral, brownish, beige and orange shades are also becoming popular in wedding flower fashion.

In this year's wedding season, you will be able to see nuanced and, so to speak, complex colors in the decorations and also in the bride's bouquets. "Artificially colored flowers are also in fashion this year - all the leading florists in the world are currently excited about it. For example, very recently, brown tulips appeared on all the most important florist Instagram profiles, which gained instant popularity," says Liana.

She points out that the effort to come up with something new and unseen is one of the reasons why changes are taking place in the world of flowers.

"At the same time, zero waste or zero waste and ecological ideas have their support in the world of floristry. More and more often we can observe attempts to use only ecological materials, abandon the foam used in floristry and other solutions that are gaining more and more supporters."

Fashion free style bridal bouquets

Speaking of bridal bouquets, Liana points out that a free and natural shape, various textures and non-trivial solutions are still relevant in them. "In bridal bouquets, it is no longer so important what flowers are used, but the overall mood it gives. It can be different for each bride, as she is looking for a feeling that suits her.

When choosing her bouquet, I would advise the bride to focus on colors and feelings, give her florist guidelines and trust that he will create a unique and wonderful end result," advises Liana.

2019 trends in bridal bouquets and wedding flower decorations in the world:

  • Brides are increasingly choosing to abandon the classic bouquets of white roses and soft pink peonies, choosing instead other flowers such as freesias .
  • In contrast to the trends of previous years, this year the bride's bouquets become smaller , but still retain their light mess and mix of flowers and greens.
  • Those brides who are not afraid to be different and want to stand out when creating their bridal bouquet choose only one large flower, which is surrounded by many different greens.
  • The minimalist trend is also entering the wedding sphere, so there are brides who choose not a bouquet, but a pair of cut flowers, which perfectly suits their elegant and uncluttered image.
  • Brides also have traditions coming back in the fashion of bouquets – there are brides who, instead of unconventional and asymmetric bouquets, choose an arrangement of flowers that traditionally resembles the bouquet with which they once got married, for example, their mother.
  • Instead of choosing expensive, exotic and inappropriate flowers for the particular season, brides increasingly prefer seasonal flowers available in the latitudes where they live.
  • The motifs of green tropical plants in wedding decorations have also gradually ended their victorious path. Instead, ferns and other forest plants have come in, which is why the topic of biology, botany and researchers is brought up.
  • Dry flowers become an alternative to live flowers.
