Kristīne is a bride who did not want a classic hen party. She is grateful to her friends, whom Kristini knows well and wanted to provide for the bride pleasure from the heart - just the way she would like it.

"During half a year, I received an invitation from each of them to spend the day together in the mailbox every now and then. My girlfriends are so different and special, and I am also a little different with each of them - we are connected by special things, feelings, memories and history and each gave me a day together. I can't imagine anything more charming and thoughtful a gift. I am extremely grateful to them for this format."

How did the idea of a different celebration come about

Not long after getting engaged, Kristīne used to say that she doesn't like classic hen parties, so that her friends, if you want good, you won't want to organize one. "Being together and spending time together is the greatest gift for me and for her knows." Kristīne says that the girlfriends had the idea even before the Covid-19 restrictions appeared in the world, and it was difficult imagine an even more suitable format to enjoy the status of a bride for a much longer period of time than the classic bachelorette at a party. The girlfriends made this half year before the wedding unforgettable.

Kristīne admits that women's collectives are not always on the same page. It is necessary to take into account the opinions of others, compromises must be made, adaptations must be made. In this case, everyone could think individually, choose how they wanted the bride to please, did not depend on each other's tastes, time, opportunities, finances and other important aspects. “When At the beginning of the year, I received my first letter without knowing anything about it, it moved me to tears. Because being together here and now, and sharing your time with someone is the greatest gift.”

Since Kristīne did not always check the mailbox day after day, sometimes these very special letters were brought to her future husband. The invitations were made in a beautiful, uniform style, they mentioned the date, time, meeting place and dress code. But the bride did not know where she would go and what she would do. It was a surprise. Kristīne admits: “I am not love of surprises. I like to know things, so the fact that the invitation gave quite a lot of information to mine the planner's mind would be calmer, it is noteworthy - they really thought about me. Thank you!”

The first surprise – meditation on a rainy day

The text of the first invitation letter invited us to spend a day, seconds, heartbeats, minutes, feelings and moments together.

"That introduction was enough to make me happy! Girls know me!" In a cloudy and rainy Latvian winter day, her friend Annie took Kristini on a short trip to the house they once shared. "We were standing for a while in the yard of another house and we caught memories. We then spent four hours in a yoga class where I experienced my first experience in meditation. An unforgettable day.”

The second surprise – an unusual hike along the sea

In early spring, Kristīne received the next invitation. "The celebration continued. Together with my friend Liga, we went for a hike along the sea." The girls had warm tea and lunch with them to enjoy in the fresh air for the first time just after the snow warm moss in the pine forest. The girlfriends managed to stray from the intended path, which was followed by an unusual walk along side of the highway. "Together with the League along the highway to the edge of the world!"

The third surprise – flight as an adventure

The next invitation from, as Kristīne admits, the bravest girlfriend Zanes invited to Spilve airport. “When on the way to there she told me the plan for the day, I didn't hear anything more than "I will fly with a hang glider". I guess for everyone you need friends who push you out of your comfort zone every now and then. Fear is a bad reason not to do something, right?” Christine was only afraid until she got into the hang glider chair and was strapped in. To When Kristine said that she was afraid, the pilot replied - it must be so. "The flight was fantastic. Riga is beautiful from above and an adventure in your pocket!”

The fourth surprise – a walk in the mood of architecture

“There are people who know me very well, and there are people who know me as myself.”

With one of the kindred spirits, Laura, on a surprise day, the girlfriends went on a Art Nouveau architecture walk with guide. "During the walk, we discovered fantastic architectural nuances, looked for squirrels, cones and Valkyries, we stayed in some very special houses." The hot summer day ended at Kristine's favorite Italian pizzeria in casual conversations.

The fifth surprise – an evening on the edge of a cloud

The next surprise for Kristine came from her namesake. At the specified time, a taxi arrived after the bride, which the driver was told not to reveal the destination to the passenger. "Unsuspecting, I arrived at the foot of the Academy of Sciences. Cashier a letter was left for me with an entrance ticket to the observation deck and sweet words about what awaited me.

Friend Kristīne welcomed the bride at a height of 65 meters with wine, snacks, music, the most unforgettable clouds and sunset. Shortly before the planned time together, a storm raged in the clouds in Riga. Time began to clear while Kristīne was on his way to the Academy of Sciences. "It was surprisingly easy to indulge in the surprise and enjoy it from the heart - for my girlfriend everything had obeyed, including the taste of the keyboardist's music. Evening - space."

The sixth surprise – breathtaking trails

Not long before the wedding, Kristīne received an invitation from Sarmīte. A friend arranged a full-day hike along Position. "We both like to be in nature. In our conversations, we shared everything that was delayed by not seeing each other so often. It didn't even bother walking trails and climbs that took your breath away. And the breath caught often."

And – the seventh

Kristīne had decided to spend the day before the wedding with her best friend for leisurely lunch and conversations, then visiting the Latvian National Art Museum. "With the agreement that we should go to bed early tonight, we went for a light meal dinner. The letter in the mailbox had not prepared me for this surprise. When I entered the cafe, they were in front of me all together now!"

"I am infinitely grateful to my girlfriends for these surprises for half a year and I discovered their secret - all this they thought of me while organizing. I wish it from the bottom of my heart to other brides too!"
