FEMININE BALLERINS - ELIZABETH MELBARZDE

FEMININE BALLERINS - ELIZABETH MELBARZDE

THIS IS THE STORY OF THE TRANSFORMATION OF FEMININITY IN THE IMAGE OF A BALLERINA

"All little girls draw princesses and ballerinas. I, having received a professional education as an artist, continue to do so. I transform all my thoughts, feelings, dreams, sadness, joy, love into the images of ballerinas. Ballerinas are actually almost angels, only they have tutus instead of wings. They also symbolize a woman's soul, fragile and graceful. It could be any woman, I offer the possibility of free identification /perhaps I want to identify with the portraits of unknown women/. I want to please the viewer. For centuries, beauty has reigned in art, the more beautiful the better. The image of a ballerina allows me to create infinite compositions and movements flight. I am inspired by icons, using gold in the backgrounds, in the stylization of the figures I am inspired by Gothic and Art Nouveau" so, Elizabete.
