Breaking into a relationship, anxiety eats it from the inside, damaging the connection and the ability to trust the partner. My head is spinning depressing thoughts that, like a mosquito buzzing in your ear, constantly remind you of their presence and make you think that you are not good enough partner to deserve love .

If these thoughts were just thoughts, yes, they would be annoying, but they probably wouldn't hurt relationship. But anxiety never remains just a thought. It develops into emotions and finally into actions, which leads to misunderstandings and mutual misunderstandings. The couple suffers emotionally and thus the partner who feels this anxiety, feels guilty about it.

• Be here and now

You cannot change the past or predict the future, you only have this moment - the present. Be maximally present, appreciating every moment you are given. Stop and enjoy.

As in many areas of life, one of the determining prerequisites for happiness in relationships is balance. Namely, in order to create a harmonious and loving relationship, it is important not only to constantly improve it, but also invest and improve yourself as a person. Find time for yourself, start a new hobby, spend holidays with girlfriends, but don't forget to work on your relationship as well. If one of you is experiencing anxiety, it's something you both need to deal with. A relationship is a team effort.
