For wedding media LĪGAVĀM, 2016 was truly rich with many events, projects, articles and cooperation partners.

We want to look back on the past year and everything we have experienced during this year.

We started March with a charming event for all brides, or EXQUISITE BRIDAL BREAKFAST! Brides-to-be, girlfriends, bridesmaids, mothers of the bride gathered in the charming restaurant Vill Amor to enjoy a delicious breakfast in a charming atmosphere, accompanied by the sounds of the saxophone, while sipping prosecco, and to listen to wedding planning professionals' advice.

Līgavām.lv, in cooperation with the best wedding dress salons in Latvia, held a real event for brides in April - OPEN DOOR DAYS OF WEDDING SALONS! It was a fantastic opportunity to find your REAL wedding dress at special prices - 6 hours, 9 great wedding salons. In addition, every participant of the open days participated in a lottery with a chance to win a wedding dress from the wedding dress design studio Amelia, a tiara from SanPatrick, wedding shoes from Love story and a gift card from Lace to love!

At the end of April, a special and unforgettable event took place in Daugava itself for the entire LĪGAVĀM team - the OPENING CELEBRATION of the portal LĪGAVĀM.LV , where friends of the portal, cooperation partners and clients - the best wedding professionals in their field - gathered. It was an event full of sparkling joy for everyone who attended the event. The special opening party took place on the water pontoon White Island, which during the evening had turned into a real kingdom of flowers and festive sensations. The event opened with a shower of confetti and a loud YES! from the guests, because the proposal was the main theme of the opening night!

A pleasant surprise for many young couples in the spring was the news about a unique project "WEDDING GIFT i.e. colorful dreams in waking life", which brought together TOP wedding professionals - photographer Kristīne Grīnvalde, decorator Jānis Bushevics and SHISHI Home of Beauty team, head of Pop Up Sense agency - event producer and wedding planner Gunta Skalberga, a portal for modern brides - Līgavām.lv, restaurant KOYA, hotel Neiburgs, Kanēļa Konditoreja, video team Kanepes Films, wedding dress salon Fiancée, nightwear and linen brand Amoralle, invitation maker Oksana Solnceva, visual image stylist Dita Grauda, hairstylist Inese Alšāne, men's hairdresser Riga Bārddzinis Berga Bazar and massage studio Figura Line Old Riga. The happy couple was announced at the opening event of LĪGAVĀM.LV in "Wedding gift or colorful dreams awake" and already on May 30, the happy couple - Līga and Arnis celebrated their wedding.

At the end of May, in cooperation with the master of sweets Yvette and the holiday fairies La creation, we got together in a very tasty MASTER CLASS to discover the secrets of making marshmallows and get practical tips on the decorative use of marshmallows on the holiday! We tried the most suitable packaging for a marshmallow as a table card or a gift for guests.

In May, LĪGAVĀM.LV in cooperation with soul coach ININ NINI held a unique and unprecedented event - LOVERS INITIATION/CONNECTION , when couples could see each other, in the deepest essence, to the heart!

On the other hand, already at the end of the year - in November, Latvia experienced the FIRST WEDDING FASHION SHOW IN LATVIA and the release of the new BOOK MAGAZINE LĪGAVĀM ! In the course of the evening, brides and wedding industry specialists not only had a great opportunity to be the first to get to know the 272 pages of the LĪGAVĀM magazine, but also to view the latest and never-before-seen wedding dress collections of Latvia's TOP fashion designers and the best wedding salons.

Fine laces, hand-made embroideries, extravagant furs and more - all this could be seen for several hours. At the wedding fashion show, it was possible to see the latest wedding dress collections from fashion designer brands Katya Katya Shehurina, Līga Banga, Dace Bahmann, EFL fashion, Ingrida bridal, Agnese Eiduka, Inta Grase, ZZ fashion in one place. The latest collections were also presented by the wedding dress design studio "AMELIA" and wedding salons "6. Septembris", "Julija", while the latest trends in wedding accessories were presented by Alexander Pavlov's fur coats, Lace to Love lace, Wilde jewelry and Brigitta Stroda's crowns.

At the wedding fashion show, the most intriguing moment of the evening was finding out the winner of the instant lottery - Madara Sviķe Svitina won a wedding dress of the world-class brand Katya Katya Shehurina worth 1500 euros. The award was made even more desirable by the fact that the design of the dress will be created individually for its winner. "I am pleased that a strong new participant has appeared in the Latvian wedding industry, who is strengthening its position by launching a magazine," admits the famous fashion designer Katja Šehurina.
