WHAT SHOULD THE HOSTS HAVE FOR THE WEDDING?

Being carriers means not only a great honor but also a certain responsibility. But sometimes the presenters are so engrossed in planning various surprises and arranging organizational issues that they forget to be an emotional and practical support for the young couple.

LĪGAVĀM reminds several things that ushers should remember on the wedding day of the young couple.

Be careful not to smear the bride's makeup

The bridesmaid definitely has many responsibilities both during the wedding planning process and on the wedding day itself. Starting with providing drinking water for the bride throughout the day and ending with taking care of the bride's wedding dress after the celebration. The bridesmaid should also be the person who makes sure the bride's makeup and hair look good all day.

Since the bride will be busy with other things, the bridesmaid should notice the moments when the make-up gets a little smudged or something needs to be corrected both in it and in the hairstyle.

Must be ready for non-standard situations

Already before the wedding, the hostess should put together an emergency bag, in which to include things that could be useful on the wedding day - wet wipes, needle and thread, plasters. Sometimes the bride's dresses have a missing button or a broken zipper, and in such cases it will be very useful if the bridesmaid is prepared in time and able to solve it.

Speaking of the bride's dress, if it has a complicated closure, a corset or many ribbons that need to be tied, then the bridesmaid should learn it in advance so that she can help the bride to put it on as smoothly and successfully as possible on the wedding day.

Make sure the new couple drinks enough water

A bride will be full of emotions on her wedding day, and the last thing she'll probably want to think about is food. However, a bridesmaid's responsibilities include making sure the bride drinks enough water on her wedding day as well as eats.

A great way to ensure that the bride eats breakfast is to prepare some delicious snacks while she is getting ready and dressed in the morning, and to provide lunch or snacks after the wedding ceremony when the new couple goes out with the ushers and wedding photographer. Also, if the ushers notice that only a glass of champagne is in the hands of the bride or groom, then they should offer a drink of water every now and then, otherwise, if they haven't eaten or drunk enough water, there is a chance that they will faint faster.

Take care of the bride's bouquet

The bridesmaid should also be the person who knows where the bride's bouquet is at any moment. When it is brought, it must be placed in water, taken from the bride during the ceremony, and returned before she and her new husband leave the altar together. You should also make sure that it is not left carelessly somewhere during the wedding celebration, but in the best case, put it in water until the bride throws it to the unmarried girls.

Must be hospitable

Whether or not there will be a professional usher at the wedding, ushers should be those people who show hospitality to every guest and everyone involved in the wedding organization. This does not mean that they need to know all the organizational details, but that whatever the situation, they will try to solve it.

Take care of the gifts for the new couple

Unless this responsibility has been transferred to the hands of the organizers, then the conductors should also be the ones who make sure that the couple settles with all service providers. Also, ushers should keep an eye on the gift table, especially if guests present envelopes with money. During the celebration, ushers should ensure that all gifts are placed in a safe place, such as in the newlyweds' room or in their car.

You have to take care of the wedding dress

No matter how much the bride's wedding dress was cherished before the wedding day, unfortunately, after the wedding celebration, especially if the bride's dress is already changed for another dress during the celebration, it is treated relatively carelessly.

The bridesmaid can be the person who puts the bride's dress on the hanger and prepares it for transport.
