Weddings can take place in a variety of places - luxurious villas, simple guest houses, family homes and even in nature. But the French-based wedding and event agency Nadia Fry Events & Weddings offers a unique concept – a wedding ceremony with family and close friends on a yacht.

As the wedding organizer Nadia Fry herself told the LĪGAVĀM portal, a wonderful photo session was organized on the French Riviera to show future brides and grooms the advantages of this unique concept.

"A month ago, together with my team of 30 people, we organized a photo session - a wedding on a yacht. It's a new concept that is in demand, people like it and it's like a dream come true for many. And I'd like to say that it's real," says Nadia.

It happened in Cannes, on board the yacht M/Y Sultana . The yacht was built in 1969, but a couple of years ago, in 2012, it was completely renovated and modernized, while at the same time preserving its uniqueness and classic charm.

“Captain Fehmi and his entire team are made to welcome guests from all over the world and make any wedding ceremony unforgettable,” Nadia Fry is convinced.

If the wedding ceremony is scheduled for lunch, then the activity on the yacht will start early in the morning, with the arrival of all involved - hairdressers, make-up artists, photographer and video master, as well as, of course, the bride and groom themselves.

"It's a wonderful sight when, at lunch time, with the sun shining brightly in the sky, the bride, accompanied by her father, goes on deck to meet her groom. The wind gently blows her dress and one can only sigh in delight at how beautiful such wedding photos turn out," said Nadia Fry.

On the other hand, after the wedding ceremony, when the wedding cake and champagne are enjoyed with the guests, the captain will take the yacht to the place for further celebrations.

When it comes to cost, Nadia Fry Events & Weddings says there are various aspects to consider. The best months to organize a wedding on a yacht would be April, May, June, September and October. It is very difficult to charter a yacht for a day, for example in July and August, as it is a high season in the Mediterranean region, and at that time yachts are usually rented for at least a week. In order to determine specific prices, an offer must be made for the couple, but for example, the yacht on which the particular photo session was organized is 26 meters long, and if the yacht is in the seas, then only 12 people can be on it. If the yacht is in port, it can accommodate up to 50 guests. Renting such a yacht for one day will cost around 6,000 euros, of course not including drinks, food, photographer and other aspects.
