Cafe Film Noir is a place that combines different functions - a cinema, a cafe and a venue for various events.  Film Noir is located in the legendary cinema Splendid Palace . In February Cafe Film Noir offers a wide program of cultural events. A special surprise is prepared for all lovers and romantics - on February 14, Valentine's Day, Cafe Film Noir with the musical program Friday, I am in love singer Linda Leen and musician Rihards Lībietis will perform.

Cafe Film Noir is more than a small, cute amphitheater music bar. The program will be variable and shrouded in mystery until the last moment, but the artists say that they will play both original music and something else from the interpretations of romantic bossa-nova, jazz and rock classics.

News at the Latvian National Opera and Ballet

On February 20, the Latvian National Opera and Ballet will host the premiere of the show "The Queen of Spades". What determines a person's destiny - love that frees from obsession or the magnetic excitement of the game that breaks willpower?

The story of the remarkable Russian poet Alexander Pushkin The Queen of Spades was a huge success immediately after its publication: the audience was intrigued by both the content and the accurately captured zeitgeist. The relationship triangle between Herman, Lisa and the Countess, thanks to the outstanding talent of Peter Tchaikovsky, fascinates with the depth of psychological portrayal in the music of this opera.

Improv show Two are in a relationship

On February 29 Cafe Film Noir invites to attend an improv show  Two are in a relationship . In February, people often reflect on their relationship history and current situation. Some of them are led by love, in others by a lucky coincidence, old acquaintance or just habit. In the performance, inspired by the audience's experience, improvisational theater actresses Anete Bendika and Elīna Geida will act out stories in which they will look at how different love and relationships can be.

Art theater Train of passion

On February 29, a show Passion train will be shown at the Daile Theater. The play by Tennessee Williams, known to the Latvian audience as Ilgu tramvajs , is one of the best-known works of the American playwright and received the Pulitzer Prize. It was staged at the Daile Theater by director Regnārs Vaivars, with the participation of such actors as Ieva Florence-Vīksnei, Aneta Krasovska, Gintas Grāvelis and Kaspars Zāles.

Concert of American percussionist, composer and artist Ilya Kesler

On February 29 in Ventspils, concert hall Latvia the first concert of this year's contemporary author music cycle Ma will be given by the well-known American percussionist, composer and artist Eli Keszler. As a composer, Ilaj Kesler has created compositions for the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, International Contemporary Ensemble or ICE, the Brooklyn String Orchestra and the association So Percussion.
