ELEGANT WEDDING IN THREE WEEKS

The marriage plan of Evita and Edvina Melni was quite simple. After a longer visit to Bali, September 3 was planned to celebrate the wedding together with the ushers, quietly and calmly, because already next weekend Evita was supposed to be together to go to the European Fit Model Championship with the Latvian IFBB team. Plans changed, and this gave an opportunity to mobilize and conjure up your wedding fairy tale within three weeks.

Wedding dress in an hour

Evita says: "Everything started with choosing a wedding dress. Realizing that we will return sooner, I already started looking at Bali dresses available online in Latvian wedding salons. When I saw the chosen dress, I initially thought it was too luxurious for a small wedding, but it fell into my heart so much. When I went to the wedding salon San Patrick Latvia , I tried on a couple of other for comparison, but as soon as I put on the dress I had already seen, I immediately realized that it was the right one.

It is an interesting fact that I went to choose the dress with my husband, although it is not classically accepted, but since we are very we feel each other well, then it gave me a sense of peace and confidence. In general, buying a dress was necessary one hour, while we looked for a suit for our husband longer. All the dresses in this bridal salon are one size fits all and interesting, that I didn't even have to sew it over - it fit like a glove and it felt like it was waiting for me."

Rings with special meaning

“Husband custom designed our wedding rings with black accents to match our for the surname - Melni. In fact, this design was already thought of by the husband when the engagement ring was made, because it is also matched. When I first saw the sketch of the rings, I was excited, and since our tastes for the most part agree, I immediately accepted my husband's choice."

Celebration at home

"We chose our house as the main venue for the wedding. This choice was made because the number of wedding guests was small - parents, brothers with their families and close friends. In addition, we feel very good at home, so we were able to visualize the celebration here. Since there was no time to prepare for the wedding, the concept was created in the process. We wanted the wedding to be warm, sweet, in the closest circle.

In the process of organizing the wedding, our friend, who also dressed me for the wedding, well-known among brides, helped us a lot beauty artist – Kristīne Vindele , whose wedding is a matter of the heart. She gave us advice on what important wedding details we should include and also recommended people, at to whom to turn. We greatly appreciate the responsiveness of all the people who undertook to realize our ideas in such a short time: AMIE Flowers , who turned our house into a fairy tale with decorations and created a charming bridal bouquet, Cake Chef , who take care of not only the delicious but also very beautiful wedding cake.”

Special photo session

"We chose Artūras Lāci as the wedding photographer, who with us were together throughout the wedding day, from the morning of preparation to the evening of the celebration. Arthur is a great wedding photographer feel at home among the guests, relax and make them smile. All our guests were delighted with his charisma and creative approach to work. Since the husband's hobby is photography, everything related to the photo session was under his control. I think we were lucky that the wedding was on a friday so arthur was available. The husband and the photographer agreed on the locations and mood of the photo session together, but we gave Artūrs the opportunity to express himself creatively for the ideas of the pictures. We will remember the photo session the most Peter's Church.

The peace, the special feelings that overwhelmed us there, are very difficult to put into words. It was very special.

While we had a photo session, the guests enjoyed food, drinks and panoramic views of Old Riga in the restaurant Hercogs In Ķipsala, where we also joined later. We continued the celebration at home, where the first wedding was already held waltz, cake, snacks and musical performances.”

Live music

“My husband and I are both very musical people and one of our wishes for the wedding night was live music. As before I mentioned, the place of the wedding celebration was at home, so we wanted a person close to us to sing as well. So we decided to invite Lelda Strauberg, also known as Lea, who is a close friend of ours. Lelde has the voice of an angel and is very warm nature, so she perfectly fit into the atmosphere of the celebration. Lelde's vocals were accompanied by virtuoso pianist Haralds Stanclav.”

The most important thing is teamwork

"A wedding in three weeks is definitely not easy, but it is possible. So late orders for decorations and cake no longer accepts, but we were surprised by people's responsiveness, sincerity and hospitality. For everything to move forward, both must be involved. It's a team effort. The responsibilities were partially divided, for me - decorations and cake, for my husband - photographer, we organized the rest together.

We were happy about the sun that accompanied us throughout the wedding day, even though the weather forecast was scary all week with rain. We had previously agreed that even the rain would not be able to spoil our fun. Married friends us warned that the day would pass very quickly. It was, so we tried to capture, taste and feel every moment and emotion.

My brother was with us all day, who acted as a driver. We could sing together both in the car and to pretend At the ceremony, I had a dream that my dad was taking me and handing me over to my future husband. It was an emotional one the most powerful moments ever experienced! Our family is very emotional, so we all blurted out at the ceremony in tears. Since the goal was to conjure up your own wedding fairy tale, we believe that we succeeded - we experienced a lot beautiful, sweet and warm holidays."
