Wedding season is upon us. Or is your refrigerator surface covered with "save the date" design masterpieces? You, as an invited guest, are also waiting for the following preparations. Dress , shoes, wedding congratulations and gift ! It provides the wedding couple with something original and lasting in the heart.
You will definitely find digital resources on how to create a traditional, mainstream wedding greeting. However, if you want to supplement or replace it with original ideas, I have created this article just for you.
You want your greeting to the wedding couple to be unique, but you don't know how and where to start?
I understand you! The process of creation may seem abstract and incomprehensible. It used to stop me from doing it too. However, in order to express my budding talents, I defined one important thing for myself. Creativity is not chaotic and formless. It is structured and focused. I will share some ways that will stimulate your energy into action, because creativity resides in every human being. Also in you!

this is the way I started to express my creativity - to write Living Poetry. With the performance of Live Poetry, I amuse the wedding guests during the celebration. It's a typewriter poetry activity where I interact with you as a wedding guest to create a personalized poem in quatrain as a sentimental memory of the celebration.
this is an easy and pleasant process. To encourage yourself to create a quatrain as part of a greeting to the wedding couple, look for emotional impulses. It can be a few words that you think describe the couple, such as 'fun, helpful, open-minded'. These can be some words inspired by nature, for which you are looking for connections with the bride and groom, for example, "he is a fisherman of cloudy lakes, she is a master of forest sounds".
this way allows you not to get lost in the sea of endless possibilities. Start by feeling the impulses, then express them in a small poem. Trust your creativity, let yourself feel, and go on a little journey of generating ideas on a piece of paper to come up with the rhymes that resonate with you the most. this will give not only an original result, but also a pleasurable process, if you let it.

your laughter is heard in the expanses of the forest
with you - big mountains become small things
cloud lakes full, I am a fisherman
I marvel at you, even the word becomes superfluous
// fisherman / your laugh
By the way, this same process can be kept in mind when creating personalized invitations for your guests.

It is said that if a precise question is asked, the answer received will not disappoint.
Another way to create structure for further congratulatory content is questions about the wedding couple in question. I share with you the questions I ask couples when creating Dedication poetry. It is typewriter poetry that emerges from the couple's responses as a testament and tribute to their time together. Choose questions that encourage you to find answers.

If you don't know an answer, indulge in fantasy or talk to someone who knows the couple very well and knows the necessary answers. You can also inadvertently involve them in a conversation with these partners - it will be an interesting game. Next, you can write a letter of feelings to the couple in a free format. If you are brave, incorporate some of the incoming impulses into the poetry process described above.
at midnight, under the clear stars lightly dancing
together with you, the galactic aliens bravely travel
if you allow me, I will go to conquer your wild islands
every Sunday morning, in silence, contemplating the present moment
// dance / travel / islands

There is another important thing underlying both of these ideas. Presence or noticing, attentiveness. Any artist, poet is deeply present to some processes that he wants to express. And this process, if you look at it that way, is not only deeply present, but also deeply joyful.
If you want me to help you create wedding gifts expressed in poetry for your favorite wedding couples - contact me and I will tell you about the possibilities.
