Expressing his opinion on trends in general, JūrasDuo gives advice - do not blindly follow them, that way photos will not go out of fashion. They explain that as photographers, they want the core of the style they have cultivated to remain intact over the years. It's tempting to indulge in the latest trends, but staying true to your own unique style and vision is essential if you want your photos to stand the test of time. When they train other photographers, they always advise not to chaotically follow trends, but instead to cultivate your individuality and create authentic photographs with lasting value.
For those who are not aspiring photographers, but who are looking for photography ideas , JūrasDuo provides some simple tips on how to recognize trends. Photo trends are not always easily distinguished from styles and different aesthetics. Of course, professional wedding photographers will advise and tell you what is currently in fashion, what to use and what not to use, so that the aesthetic quality of the images is not lost in the long run. However, it is good to educate yourself a little about this.

First of all, if it's something that's very popular, it's likely to be a short-lived trend. Paulina and Matas share a story from their own experience - 20 years ago it was stylish to make black and white photos in which only individual details were colored, for example red roses. Everyone loved it!
When their wedding photographer refused to do it, they were confused at first. But it was the best advice a wedding photographer gave them.
Now, looking back, they are glad that they don't have such wedding pictures. Secondly, you should pay attention to skin tones. If they're weird, it's probably a trend. JūrasDuo has observed that it is currently popular to add a yellowish tint to color photos. If done right, it can look good. But they often notice mismatched colors on people's faces. In 10 years it will definitely look weird.

Before looking for the latest wedding photography news, it is advisable to consider the overall context of the wedding. Maybe some trends will not fit into the chosen wedding concept at all. For example, soft and airy photos in natural tones will be easier to take in nature. But 90s paparazzi-style photos will be more suitable for a cocktail party in the city.
To create perfect wedding photos, you need to match the style of the wedding and the photos. Once a wedding style is defined, it's easier to find a photographer who can translate that aesthetic into photos. According to JūrasDuo, there are 6 main styles of wedding photography. They add that there is no higher or lower style, each of them is unique and beautiful in its own way. Beauty is subjective, and so is style.

JūrasDuo asserts that these photography styles will not go out of fashion. They are not temporary trends. They will be able to reflect your personality as a couple, you just need to understand which style appeals to you.

When asked about how wedding photography has changed and what trends they have experienced during their career, JūrasDuo answers that wedding photos have evolved from staged photo sessions in the studio to more authentic shots. Many years ago, a wedding photo session was about taking pictures of the bride, groom and loved ones posing. Photo sessions in the studio were especially popular in the Baltic countries. 15 - 20 years ago it slowly started to change, but it was still posed in photographs. these carefully staged shots were the main focus of photography, there was almost no room for spontaneous and real shots.

During the last decade, there has been a significant shift towards true and open photographs. For Līgavām and the bride and groom, authentic and unrehearsed moments that truly capture the essence of their wedding day are key. JūrasDuo says that this trend of photojournalism has developed a more intimate and honest depiction of weddings, where candid moments become cherished memories. today, modern photographs are those that remind us of the joy, love and celebration that marked the couple's special day.
They add that planned and posed shots have changed significantly since a more authentic approach has entered wedding photography. When a wedding photographer does a photo shoot of a couple posing, it's usually for artistic purposes, not to capture portraits of people looking straight into the camera and smiling awkwardly. The photo album of every family stores the following photos.

It's no secret that one of the most important people at a wedding is the photographer. Therefore, you need to find someone with whom you will feel comfortable and with whom you share the same vision. A photographer is an artist who will capture beautiful photos on your special day, so your wedding photographer should be someone you trust completely. Know that the photographer is great at what they do and you can count on them.

Wedding photos can be very different. The key is to find that difference in what represents you and will be relevant in the future, not what is trendy now. As JūrasDuo puts it succinctly - choose style, not fashion. Because fashion comes and goes, but style is permanent, it is personal and unique.
