Weddings are not about perfection

Weddings are not about perfection

Weddings are one of the most beautiful rites of celebration of love that mankind has ever introduced. Both when organizing a wedding and on the wedding day itself, the desire for perfection and for everything to go smoothly makes you focus your attention on things that are absolutely not worth it. By reminding ourselves of the very simple but so smart truth - where our attention is, there we give our energy - it becomes very clear what has the real value - the perfect execution of the wedding scenario or the feelings and capturing the moment.

Wedding is not a goal

Yes, the wedding must be planned, yes, the wedding must be organized. You have to think about the big choices, such as the date of the wedding, the place of the ceremony, the place of the wedding celebration, the concept of the wedding, and about the nuances - the color of the napkins, the content of the invitation, the arrangement of the seats... And the more carefully planned the wedding, including the person responsible for each wedding task (including the organization of flowers in vases on the wedding day or the provision of beds ), the calmer and more comfortable you will feel on your wedding day.

However, a wedding is not an event to be looked at as a goal that must go perfectly according to a written plan. A wedding is like a living organism that can surprise and sometimes act out of the box - someone is late, some detail is forgotten despite the most careful planning, something breaks... The nuances that are not recorded in the wedding script can be completely unexpected, but it is essential to let the flow flow.

Yes, we have a wedding script , and it's great, but if there's an amazing moment to add to the wedding script, we'll love it and let it be. By not stressing and allowing yourself to flow naturally, considering that life is not a scenario in which there can be no unplanned steps, it will be much easier to accept imperfections, relax on the wedding day, enjoy it from the heart, and ultimately also see solutions. And everything can be solved.

A wedding is not a performance for guests

So many people want to get involved in the process of organizing a wedding. It is good if it is with works. But not so good if you try to impose your wishes with intrusive advice. And no matter how close these people are to you, their wishes are only their wishes. And everyone has the opportunity to realize their wishes in their wedding. In your wedding, only your desire, your idea and your feeling about how you want to get married matter.

There is nothing rational about weddings.

It's a story about feelings, emotions... Exactly how you feel. When organizing a wedding, of course, you have to think about how the guests will feel, take care of the well-being and comfort of the guests, what kind of meal you will offer, what kind of entertainment and performances you will organize. However, the wedding itself is not a performance. It's not a show. It is a celebration of love.

The details are not essential. It's not worth worrying whether your guests will enjoy your favorite musician's performance, whether your guests will be happy with your choice to go alcohol-free at your wedding instead of offering fantastic non-alcoholic cocktails, or whether your guests will understand your choice to get married at sunrise or to replace the wedding meal at formal tables with a private bus. A wedding is a magical ritual, full of symbolism and meaning. Confession of love.
