How to understand what my calling really is?

How to understand what my calling really is?

Just a few years ago, 15-30 women chose one workplace and could work there for their entire working life. nowadays, more and more often women of different ages are wondering if the chosen occupation is really what they want to do in the long term. And it is so popular to talk about your "real vocation" that it is already becoming almost mandatory - to understand, am I really doing what is my vocation?

There are various tools to understand what my real calling is.

1. Numerology and astrology recommendations

I have been interested in soul numerology for several years. Thanks to it, we can understand what are the main tasks with which we came into this life as little souls. For some it is working in a collective, for some it is being a leader in the masses of people, for some it is finding a balance between the masculine and feminine in any relationship, for another it is a combination of materialism and spirituality. The date and month of our birthday can tell a lot about our vocation in this incarnation.

It is also valuable to meet with an astrologer. The more knowledgeable and experienced an astrologer is, the more accurately he can tell which areas are most suitable for us, based on various aspects in a given period of life. The only comment about knowledgeable and experienced is very important, so that you do not go to such a specialist, thanks to whom you will program yourself in a different direction, thereby harming yourself.

2. IKIGAI method

Understanding "Ikigai" is considered a very valuable activity in the Japanese tradition, because it helps a person to understand what is the true meaning of his life. Why do I get up in the morning? How can I be happy every day? What you have to do is take a piece of paper and divide it into four circles. In the first circle, you should list everything you love to do. In the second circle, everything you can do. In the third circle, what the world needs (human needs). In the fourth circle - what I am paid for, they have paid what could be remunerated. The value of "Ikigai" is that you choose your occupation by connecting these four circles with each other, thus understanding your mission, your passion, your profession, and your vocation.

It's not really difficult, it just takes time and concentration. Do not do it automatically, allow yourself to return to this task several times until you reach the final conclusions.

3. Hearing answers during meditation

The deeper your meditation practice, the easier you begin to hear various valuable answers during meditation. What should be done before meditating is to set an intention for it, for example - I want to understand if what I am doing right now is my calling. And during meditation you have to listen to the answers. Just remember that meditation must become your daily tool, during which you can get rid of the norms imposed by the mind and listen more directly to your inner feelings. It takes time and regular meditation practice.

4. Career tests

It is valuable to meet with professional coaches and/or career specialists, with the help of which you can determine your areas of interest, personal and professional qualities. When you understand what your strengths are and what you like to do, you will gradually begin to create a new plan of action. If you don't want to go to a specialist, you can also do this work on your own, writing down the answers to the questions in as much detail as possible: Who am I? What are my strengths as a person? What are my strengths as a professional? What do I like to do? What am I good at?

Return to these lists at least twice, so that you can supplement them with the mood and feelings of different days.

5. What I would like and definitely not

When thinking about my future, it is important to understand as precisely as possible what I would like to do and also what I would definitely not do. Write down these points in maximum detail!

For example - what I want:

  • communicate with people every day;
  • to work remotely no more than 6 hours a day;
  • choose a field that will be in demand at least in the next 5-10 years;
  • to learn a new skill every quarter, etc.

And what I don't want, like:

  • daily meetings with colleagues;
  • business trips more often than twice a year;
  • let someone else plan my daily life etc.

This is a great way to understand yourself better and get closer to a more fulfilled everyday life.

6. If money were not the driving force

Think about what you would do if you didn't have to earn money.

To answer this question, you will have to turn on your imagination, put aside your fears, opinions imposed by others and listen to your true desires.

Don't stick to one answer, list different options, allow yourself to dream without limits.

We are all very different - someone is constantly filled with force majeure on a daily basis, someone cannot imagine their everyday life without other people and live communication, another likes creative expressions and an unlimited field of action, and another finds routine and work with documents very important. We can definitely feel our calling by understanding ourselves more deeply!

You just have to remember that, while searching for your vocation, you should continue to live here and now and appreciate and talk about what we have as much as possible. Because often women become dissatisfied with the fact that the search is long, seems fruitless or does not meet expectations. Remember that, first of all, you have to learn to enjoy what I already have, because this is exactly my path - right now!
